Guest guest
Hey, glad the news is good. And that you have a good boss. They're worth their weight in gold. Ann 3 Month Checkup Hi everyone, I'm back from Chicago! I left last Sat. to go up for my Checkup this past Wed. No xrays this time. Must still go without a lift on the shoe to give the leg more time to see if it will go back to normal length. Dr. said the pain in the fermur could be there for up to a year as non-cemented prostisis tend to have pain longer for some reason. Dr. said don't over due but go back to as normal a life as I can and he gave me a full release to go back to work and said call or come in if I have any problems. Just use "common sense." So I will be heading back to work next Wednesday. I have a great dispatcher and he gave me some great news when I told him I would be back next week. The company just got in 5 new '06' trucks that are totally automatic! He snagged one for me!! How cool is that? I know it will not mean much for those of you who do not know about semi trucks but until about a year or so ago they have ALWAYS been stick shift. Automatics are new to this industry in BIG trucks. My dispatcher wanted me to be comfortable and not have to work too hard with the long hours we spend behind the wheel. I am one happy camper! Hope everyone is doing well and it will take me a day or so to catch up on all the posts from last week. Welcome to anyone who is new to the group! Guest guest
Good luck with going back to work. Just remember to take it easy getting in and out of the truck. You will appreciate the automatic, but there will be things you don't like about it. Take it easy and learn the capabilities. Glad you are being looked after by your dispatcher. Guest guest
Hello Group, I had my 3 month checkup yesterday with Dr. Hamill. All went well, he said I am doing great. I asked him about bending, he said bending while brushing my teeth is fine, but he doesn't want me to try to bend over to pick something up. No chance of that happening!!! No therapy till my 6 month mark though. I am not ready to go back to work yet. I sit for 8 hours a day and have to get files out of cabinets, not ready for that yet. My sitting is painful after a few hours now. I still need to lie down every afternoon. I am down to one hydrocodone at night. But best of all, he said get rid of the brace!!! So I think we are having a bondfire this weekend. in NY
