I would like to jump in here and offer a thought.

THink back before preservitives were the normal,

THink back before Monsanto Genetically Modified Seeds

THink back before industrialized conglomarated farms

THink back before carrots were orange and originally white ,

THink back when crops were eaten whether the produce was uniform and perfect,

you ate what you grew, you ate what you could gather in the forest in terms of

wild grasses and such. You ate what you could hunt, small animals-one pot meals

that the meat, bones,organs,and fat could be rendered in a simmering caldron

over a small fire or sometimes glowing coals.

When a large animal was killed for meat, remember these animals lived off of

Grass. Grassfed animals flesh is high in omega-3 fats unlike stock of today that

are fed grains and the meat is mainly omega-6 fats. The meat had to be dried and

mixed or ground with much fat to preserve it.(LIKE sausages).

Cows, sheep ,or goats kept for there milk did not produce the 9-12 gallons aday

as our genetically -enhanced animals of today. The average cow gave 1-2 gallons

,milk drank as some as it came to the table,rich in butterfat , the leftover was

curdled for kefir, butter, and yogurt. Whey was drained off and used to culture

fruits and vegetables. Remember " Little MIss Muffet, sat on a tuffet, eating her

curbs and whey? " Historial evidence in literature!!

Prior to world shipping, all people ate what was regional to them and seasonal.

In late spring, summer and early fall, live green things were abundant, milk was

abundant ,late fall,winter and early spring,dried meat, grains,root

vegetables,soups and other cultured foods were more abundant,

I think we will find it is more important to study the food patterns of our

ancestors than all the flimsy diets over the last 50 years based on so called

" long term studies " .

Large amounts of fiber are recommended today because of the pasty refined flour

that gets stuck in the colon. If you have a high fat diet, it will just glide

thru sweeping all your body trash right out,leaving your colon to soak up the

water.

So many children have constipation bcause there diets are underfatted. 4-5 year

old boys are given laxitives. They develope poor potty patterns because it hurts

to go , so they wait till they get home Some " enlightened " pediatricians

recommend mineral oil(a petroleum by-product) and it helps, but then the their

poor bodies begin to deal with the toxic effect of mineral oil.

I think we need to stop trying to re-invent the wheel and study how our

forefathers got here and stayed healthy effort to reproduce and get us here!

Well, once again we'll just have to agree to disagree. I think you recommend

way too much fat and not enough vegetables. ~Robin
