I was really impressed with the way my IV was started. The anesthesiologist

did it. First he injected some anesthetic with a very tiny needle which I

hardly felt and then didnt feel it at all when he put the iv needle in.

Dear :

Isn't it nice when they do it that way?! I've had it done both ways and much

prefer it done with the anesthetic. Some will do it and some won't, although

I always request it. It just makes it so much less painful. It should be a

requirement! The nurses who don't use it say that it's just another stick,

but boy the difference that it makes is well worth it in my opinion.

Some of the IV people can do it so slick and some shoud be out selling shoes!
