Guest guest
I don't have the burning on the tip only but I do have it when I am drinking anything, my whole tongue burns, almost like its super sensitive. Guest guest
No. It comes and goes. When it's burning though it's bad. I did Rebetron and it didn't work for me. I think because I have PCT also. Good luck. >>> scooby759@... 11/16/00 02:22PM >>> I don't have the burning on the tip only but I do have it when I am drinking anything, my whole tongue burns, almost like its super sensitive. Guest guest
Hi Terri here, I get sores on my tongue which my doctor says comes from the medicine. They gave me a prescription for Nystatin....swish and spit. Hope this helps. Terri ruthwhite37214 <Ruth.White@...> wrote: Does anyone experience burning tongue? My husband's tongue burns at the tip, not all the time, but when it does it really hurts. We've tried to figure out what the cause could be, diet, allergy, etc. but to no avail. Doctors don't know either, they think it's all in his head, well it's NOT. Thought maybe it has something to do with the Hep C?
Guest guest
Hi Ruth, Actually, I get this, too, but I never thought to associate it with Hep C! It feels like you've put cayenne pepper on the tip of your tongue, just nasty! When it happens, I just try to place the food further back in my mouth when I am eating. Nothing seems to help it go away, I've tried Listerine, ice cubes, etc, with no luck. Someone on another list suggested putting sugar on it, so I guess that's what I'll try the next time it happens. Marilyn Burning Tongue I guess no one has experienced burning tongue who has Hep C? I thought I'd give it a shot and see. There are so many theories of what causes it, none of them are treatable or proven, so I guess there is no cure or treatment for it. Some say it's allergies, some say vitamin deficiency, some say gastro problems, or neurological, etc. Well who knows, I'm just glad he isn't plagued with it constantly, he would certainly nut up. Guest guest
Dear Ruth......Teri here I figure it's the Hep C because I hear so many complaints of weird things. I get sores in my nose. And I know has complained of sores in her mouth, she's in the hosp.right now or I would ask her if she ever had such a thing. Tell him sorry just one of those strange afflications. Guest guest
Burning tongue is a menopausal symptom. It can also be from acid problems. I have had this problem for about 5 years. For me it seems to be a gastric and meno thing. I notice when my hormones are in check the burning tongue is not that bad. So many things are connected to our hormones. One thing that helps is progesterone and some estrogen. I now just tolerate this because it is not one of my biggest problems. Anita

Guest guest
Hi h I have had it for months with candida and you are right most doctors basically laugh at it.. My last doctor made me so mad i just walked out on him, he treated me for a while then gave up on me and tried to tell me it is all in my head. That was pretty much it for the Sacramento area, as a called at least one hundred doctors and found no one who deals with candida. I have found that a good diet and lots of probiotics and some other things had got mine under control. Now if i'm not careful with all of this it can start to come back. Hope this helps some <>< From: sensualwordz@... Guest guest
I had this problem as well. Actually, I have a mild form of it right now. My tongue burns, feels swollen, and then is painfull. I have a flare up right now because I HAD to be on anti-biotics two times last month to clear a kidney infection. So I'm on my second week of diflucan and am waiting for my probiotics that I ordered to come in. I HATE this beast! > Hi h > I have had it for months with candida and you are right most doctors > basically laugh at it.. > My last doctor made me so mad i just walked out on him, he treated me for a > while then gave up on me and tried to tell me it is all in my head. > That was pretty much it for the Sacramento area, as a called at least one > hundred doctors and found no one who deals with candida. > I have found that a good diet and lots of probiotics and some other things > had got mine under control. > Now if i'm not careful with all of this it can start to come back. > Hope this helps some > > > <>< > > > > From: sensualwordz@a... > Reply-candidiasis > candidiasis > Subject: Re: burning tongue > Date: Wed, 12 Nov 2003 00:30:52 EST > > How many suffer from burning tongue > > I went to doc and he said it could be from lack of vitamin B so im trying > that also > > Very confusing when docs dont believe in it after a while it makes you > even > doubt yourself > > h > > >
