Guest guest
Once you consume the foods your body NEEDS, your appetite will normalize, appitite Is there anything I can do for appetite control? As soon as I start any diet I'm starving all the time, I'll eat till I'm sick just thinking about dieting and I normally don't eat that much. I have type 2 diabetes and I really need to lose 20 pounds at least, 30 would be even better. I have 2 small children and a teenager so it seems like I'm making 3 different kinds of stuff at every meal which also makes it harder to stick to a diet. help! jess
Guest guest
Getting used to the ER4YT diet takes about 2 weeks if you don't cheat. Getting used to not smoking takes a lifetime, apparently, because that occasional craving is still there after 4 years.
Guest guest
I enjoy the Kavli Crispbread crackers with tuna. They are very good. I also make my own trail mix with soy nuts and raisins and some carob chips, I toss whatever else in it too. Enjoy Deb
Guest guest
I have been eating a few rice crackers when I need that crunchy satisfaction and carrots just won't do at the time.
Guest guest
You can find sweet potato chips in the HFS. After a while you'll get over the cravings, just hang in there.
Guest guest
You could try Ryvita crackers, they are made with Rye and are OK. You can put goat cheese on them which is neutral. Guest guest
One of my favorite snacks is pumpkin seeds. They are easy to take with you when on the go. I particularly like Pumpkorn brand dry roasted ones. That brand has good ingredients except for caramel flavor which has some fructose. You can get them online at: http://www.givemefood.com/ I buy them in 5 or 10 lb bulk amounts in ziplock bags and keep them in the freezer. Beef jerky is good too but you may have to make your own to avoid all of the undesirable ingredients in the commercial brands. Guest guest
I roast my own pumpkin seeds. Just spread them out on a baking sheet and put them under the broiler for a couple of minutes until they start popping. I mix those with slivered almonds (we are allergic to walnuts), cut up figs, apricots, pineapple, raisin, etc. whatever I have on hand. It's a good snack item. Guest guest
Not smoking does do 2 things to your body. Your metabolism slows down due to no nicotine and you appetite increases as well as the urge to do something with your mouth. I know it is a lot to do, but try and add some exercise to your day. You can play outside with your kids, go to the playground, etc. That will increase your endorphyms (sp??) and make you feel better as well as burn some calories, and make you less hungry. Good luck - don't start smoking again, because then you just have to go thru this all again. Jane appitite Is there anything I can do for appetite control?
