Guest guest
Hey everyone! Well the test results from Monday came back and my bilirubin is back up to 8.7. There appears to be no doubt that the 6MP Purinethol is to blame. The GI wants to refer me to an hepatologist at UT Memphis. My gi is very frustrated in that he can't get me off the prednisone. He said I'm the only one of his patients who has had problems like this. I couldn't take the Imuran either. (wound up in the hospital last June with an infection for a week) I'm still at 30 mg Prednisone per day. He's also going to test me for pancreas problems possibly associated with the 6MP. He thinks I have Crohn's; but the symptoms I have (diarrhea and malabsorbtion) did not start until I started taking the 6MP. This leads me to believe that it's the medication. Is anyone having severe back trouble? I'm taking calcium and vitamin d suppliments for arthritis and bone loss; but the last month or two I've been having fits with my back going out and muscles being strained. I haven't been able to get up from bending or stooping a few times and sometimes my purse is even too heavy a strain. This morning I fell out in the garage and like to never made it up. (had to hand-climb up the hood of the car.) No one heard me calling for help, because I was the only one awake. Boy do I feel like a weenie!
