Guest guest
Hi Robin, Well, ya know, it gets tricky. I didn't mean to imply that you have anything against earthwormies. The only part that was really a " response " was the stuff about eggs--- and the rest was just sorta " thoughts about worms " and some explanation of my worm background. I also find it sorta confusing that the parasites are wormlike and they DO look a lot alike, and seem similar. Another similar looking critter is maggots (which I find positively revolting). Then there are those little worm-like tiny things that get into food (weevils, and maybe some other things too?) They are all very similar looking and they are crawl or wriggle. So it seems weird in some way to be very appreciative of earthworms while feeling less than happy with all the others. As for the eggs, I really do not KNOW that earthworms cannot live in people--- just wanted to say it seems unlikely to me. But I haven't really heard it discussed before. Some of the earthworm folks might find it an interesting question. Here is a place you could ask if anyone wants to pursue it: http://www.wormdigest.org/forum/index.cgi Moria >I have nothing against earthworms. I know they are good for the soil.
