worms and earthworms (was Re: worms in their burgers??? Moria

Hi Robin,

Well, ya know, it gets tricky. I didn't mean to imply that you

have anything against earthwormies. The only part that was

really a " response " was the stuff about eggs--- and the rest

was just sorta " thoughts about worms " and some explanation of

my worm background.

I also find it sorta confusing that the parasites are wormlike

and they DO look a lot alike, and seem similar. Another similar

looking critter is maggots (which I find positively revolting).

Then there are those little worm-like tiny things that get into

food (weevils, and maybe some other things too?) They are all

very similar looking and they are crawl or wriggle. So it seems

weird in some way to be very appreciative of earthworms while

feeling less than happy with all the others.

As for the eggs, I really do not KNOW that earthworms cannot

live in people--- just wanted to say it seems unlikely to me.

But I haven't really heard it discussed before. Some of the

earthworm folks might find it an interesting question.
