Had spinal fusion to L4 in 1995- screw now protruding from bottom of my back

Is anyone else having issues like this? I'm 28 now and had the surgery

when I was 15. The bottom of the rod (I believe it is the screw) is

now protruding out and causing a lot of pain. The original doc who did

the surgery said they have revised the surgery and no longer use that

part. Has anyone had any experience with this??
