Guest guest
Hi All, I just had a nice long chat with NH...she was sent home on Wednesday to recouperate for round #2, scheduled for next Friday. She sounds good, and is getting around pretty well, using a walker still since she is very afraid her leg will give out as she is still experiencing some nerve issues on the left leg. She thinks things are settling a little, but still not back to where she was before things got moved around. She believes she will have an appointment in the office with DrRand this week and he will go over the new plan...since basically the first surgery, other than removing the completely unattached HR, was exploratory. She says she knows that they will only work posteriorly because the horseshoe shaped kidney will, in fact, not permit the anterior approach. She was cautioned that she might not get as much correction, but the concerns about more nerve damage are overriding any benefit of going for " more " . Hopefully she will get more details this week. She thanks everyone for their emails and enjoyed hearing from everyone. We will talk later this week when she finds out exactly what is up for her Friday surgery...so I will keep you all posted.
