Guest guest
Well, folks, I started having quite a bit of pain in my back a week ago (after a walk) and thought I had overdone it. Work has been kind of stressful (as have some of my volunteer positions) and so I just figured it was all of that. I can be kind of slow... A couple of days ago it hit me that the back pain was in the EXACT same place as before and that I have been extremely moody, even a bit depressed, and that's when I realized that I may just have another UTI. I felt bad enough yesterday to go to the Urgent Care Clinic and have my suspection confirmed. He was concerned that it had reached my kidneys again and insisted on giving me a shot along with ten days of antibiotics. I have only taken one of the antibiotics thus far, but hoped I'd be feeling better today since they worked so quickly last time (although it was a different antibiotic). However, today I feel worse...much worse. I am going to call Dr. Bridwell's office tomorrow and see if they think further tests are necessary in light of two UTIs in two months, but the doc yesterday said not to worry unless I get another one. If I do, he said I should be checked for stenosis. This made me kind of chuckle...never thought about stenosis in other parts of the body! Anywho, if anyone has experienced such and has any words of wisdom, please share them. I believe someone else may have mentioned having more than one infection post-op, but they may not have been consecutive. Also, for the record, prior to these two, it had been over ten years since I had one and I drink about a gallon of water a day at present, so this is highly unusual...and extremely painful. I hope you all are well. I've been thinking about all of you. If someone hears from Carole M, please let us know. She's been on my mind as well. kam
