Guest guest
Hi all, I saw Dr. Glazer yesterday in that crazy snow storm in Boston. The fusion is absolutely solid. I now have permission to ride my bike, swim and anything else I " deem " safe to do. The caution was not to twist my upper body. (Was already a previous restriction) I mean we can only twist so much anyway right? I can bend from the hip as long as I am comfortable with it. I talked about my shift to the left a bit and the difficulty of being upright especially when I am tired. He OFFERED to do more surgery. He explained osteotomies in the thoracic region may alleviate some of these symptoms. He also said it was just as evasive as the last surgery. I gave him a resounding NO thanks, I am fine just the way I am. He smiled, I thought you would say that. Anyway, I see him in a year as the neuropathy is still present and if it gets worse I am to call him. He also thought there was hope for the neuropathy as the therapist was getting some results.
