Guest guest
Hi Patty, Some things I have read will say Vitamin C is on the acidic side and others alkaline such as when you eat a fruit. Could you explain this a little more please? Also, I think that was good advice that you have given to the lady who is pregnat.
Guest guest
Kathleen, I'll pray for your healthy pregnancy--congratulations! By the way, I have three healthy children who were safely vaccinated, but I would never vaccinate another one. You might want to make sure you are well versed on the vaccination programs that are pushed by every hospital and doctor in this country. More children are permanently disabled or die from these things than would be affected by the disease they are supposed to be preventing in the first place! Hallelujah Acres puts out a great publication called Vaccinations by Dye. If you haven't read it, I would check it out. It is shocking and extremely informative. Of course, everyone has to make up their own mind on this issue, but if I had known then what I know now... Marsha <>{
Guest guest
Kathleen, Here's another 2 cents. That makes at least 4 now! I took Shaklee food supplements all through my three pregnancies, and I did not have one minute's worth of morning sickness! I did, however, have some headaches and felt very tired during the first trimester. I took Instant Protein, vita-C, vita-E, B-Complex, alfalfa, garlic, (Herb-Lax was very helpful!), vita-lea, and I don't remember what else. I had no pain medication for any of the deliveries, which were 9# 8.5 ozs., 8# 3 ozs., and 9# 4.5 ozs. as I recall. And I much preferred Bradley's method of breathing to that of Lamaze--felt like I had much better control of the contractions. May God bless your pregnancy! Guest guest
A great pregnancy tea is: Raspberry Leaf Oat Thistle Nettle Alfalfa Buy in one pound packages and mix all together. Drink at least three cups a day. This will help your whole pregnancy substantially. Guest guest
Did you know? Mid-wives have a much higher live birth ratio then Doctors. Mostly because they are more patient then doctors, do not induce, give pre-mature C sections, and mainly because pain medication is un-available in home births. For normal healthy pregnancies a mid-wife is worth considering. Bernadette Re: I'm pregnant(?) > > > You guys don't know me that well, I read more than post, but I want to ask > your advise. Guest guest
Well, since you say any thoughts would be welcome, here are mine :~) First, congratulations on your pregnancy! I've been through four. I was into natural everything when I had my kids. I used a midwife and gave birth at a birth center, which was an excellent experience. So, as for the supplements, my recommendation would be to stop taking tons and tons of them, and concentrate on eating a very healthy diet. If you have a yeast problem, you could still eat lots of garlic and onions, and concentrate on mostly vegetables, with some meats and fish (if you are not a vegetarian). The main problem I see with supplements is that they are primarily chemical in nature--like Twin labs stuff. The herbs should be OK, but even some of those have caution statements for women who are pregnant and lactating. So, your best bet is to just get on one good multi-vitamin and eat an abundance of healthy foods and skip the handfuls of vitamins. The other problem with some supplements is that they are acid producing products...meaning they affect the pH balance in your system in a negative way. You want to remain focused on an alkalizing diet. I don't think there would be any problem in taking the Vitamin C, acidophilus or your thyroid rx, but I would question the nystatin. Ask your doctor. That's my 2 cents! Patty
Guest guest
Kathleen, You may want to remove dairy and gluten from your diet in order to alleviate some of the bad side effects from leaky gut. Also, avoid eating fish and avoid dental work during to the extent possible during pregnancy, as heavy metals (mercury) can cross the placenta. If you need Rhogam shots during or after pregnancy (breastfeeding), ask for the thimerisal (mercury) free version, and don't take the doctor/nurse's word for it, ask to see the package insert and watch them draw it up. If this sounds extreme, consider 87 children a day are being diagnosed w/ autism, most likely induced by metal poisoning.
