Yikes. Sounds harrowing. All I know is a friend of mine had a severse giardia infestation and was given digestive enzymes for a year to get rid of it. The enzyme products she was given were by STandard process. Zymex, I believe.

If it was me, I would try homozon. It does such a wonderful job of cleaning the bowel and the blood and kills many parasites, espcially small ones like Giardia. I would also do protease, to eat up giardia.

Then I had right and left inguinal hernia surgery and then my rectum began to burn and itch. It has traveled to my legs, arms, feet. I have swollen lymph nodes in my groin, neck, and armpits.In two years I have been tested for HIV, Herpes, all STD, stool for parasites, spinal tap for MS, TCell, lupus, MRI back, CAT Scan for back. I don't how they thought it was my back. Test for celiac, allergies. Been on Cipro, and other one other antibiotic. I have been to accupuncurits. All tests are normal. I did test positive for Epstein-barr. I also had a sigmoid scope of my colon (lower). I have been to nearly 20 doctors and still no diagnosis. I have fatty stools, itching rectum. I have changed my diet to vegetarian, and only pure foods and distilled water. I am on a 5 day detox program the American Botanical Pharmacy. It is helping some. I have only been on it one day. I am also taking other herbs. My current doctor spoke with an infectious disease doctor and he thought I picked up Giardia, a parasite. He said that stool samples don't alway show up. I am waiting for an appt. I have bad stomach pains. My groin feels like it is on fire most of the day. When I go to bed it subsides. I know I had to pick up something from this person. Plus, I was under much stress at the time. Anyone have the same symptoms,please advise. Thanks for listening. My doctor told me that this parasite can travel up through the uretha and spread to rectum and stomach and go systemic. I don't know why they never tested me for this. Two stinking years of severe pain. I am stuck in HMO hell. I rather trust my herbs and natural healing then these quacks anyway.
