Guest guest
lol thank you rachel! i am realizing that the combination of not eating very much and stress will keep one from having regular bms. so i have gone the route of using traditional medicinals 'smooth move' tea for now to have a bm every week. i did follow up on your lead about dr shculze.. i called and they are not giving out free samples any longer just the free bottle with a purchase. i did request a catalog! i will say that the operators seemed a bit rushed and kept referring me to the catalog to answer my questions. about the flor*essence, i did decide that while i am not able to purchase any cleanse kits at this time ($$) i am going to start a detox of my cells and blood with the flor*essence. i have a feeling that this will be very beneficial for me as i have high cholestorol due to my pcos. while i am not on an 'official' fast/cleanse tho with my diet for the last few months i think i have despite the occasional tastes of doritos and that krispy kreme donut. then i realized that i have become an 'unitentional' semi-vegetarian bordering on vegan. i just realized on my last few trips to make groceries that i have not purchased any meat (poultry) in a long time. the closest i have gotten has been chicken broth. now isn't that something? has anyone else here come to the same realization in their life? thank you for reading, Kd > Hi kd > I can see how your stress level would be elevated with making a move and > looking for work. Guest guest
<<i am realizing that the combination of not eating very much and stress will keep one from having regular bms. so i have gone the route of using traditional medicinals 'smooth move' tea for now to have a bm every week.>> <<high cholestorol due to my pcos. >> Saphonias; I just got through reading your post as a reply to and was surprised with a couple of the things you noted. In particular the pcos and the problem of only having one bowel movement a week. I can't help but to wonder if pcos has anything to do with the bowel condition of only having a single BM per week because of the hormones. BMs should occur at the minimum of one a day and even better if at two or three a day. The containment of this much fecal mass over time can only lead to a high toxicity in the body and reabsorbtion of the cholesterol of which you also noted as having. It can also lead to a condition of the colon such as divertiulosis. http://arbl.cvmbs.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/digestion/liver/bile.html http://www.nwcrc.com/diverticulosis.htm Even if you were fasting the body still tends to get rid of mass and it leaves by means bile through of the bowels. It's almost impossible to not have a BM when doing a cleanse because of the amount of mass that will be deposited for disposal, at least for a day or more after starting a fast. http://www.colonichealth.com/fasting.html It may behoove you to start taking a supplement of essential fatty acids to help in getting the liver to produce a better cholesterol and then to also start eating more food throughout the day too. This should also help to get you to start having more movements on a more regular basis too. The use of a castor oil pack can work along the lines of getting harder and impacted matter to loosen from the intestinal wall of the colon. http://home.online.no/~dusan/cures/castoroil.html Once you start to have more regular movements with transit times of around 12 to 24 hours you'll start to realize a substantive drop in the LDL cholesterol count. Without having seen you I would imagine you are also dealing with a weight problem and this too could be related to the pcoa and the lack of more frequent bowel movement. However, a cleansing of the colon and the liver is going to be going a long ways towards your increase in general health. So, welcome to the group and we'll be looking forward to seeing how things work out for you too. I don't have anything against taking the supplemented packets for bowel cleansing but I feel that a person does need to work up to the process by gaining a little more insight as to the effects of which should be expected. Doing this will result in much better success and a lot less of the " Oh, Well " statements. I've certainly had a major change in my eating habits too since having gone through having had a fairly long bout with gallstones. I was diagnosed as having them in February of 1999 and emptied of them by October of that same year. My doctor had wanted me to have my gallbladder removed to get rid of the problem but I set upon doing it my way by learning about diet and flushing methods. I'm just one of the success stories of how this all works. I too have pretty much so became far more of a vegetarian than a meat eater. But I still do eat an occasional steak or well seasoned and baked chicken. Dale
Guest guest
hi dale and thank you for all that information. i shall read what is found at those links. in the meantime, it is good to note that you have an understanding of pcos and it's relationship with hormones and the liver. when i am under care of my nd that is what we work on: detoxing my liver. mostly includes using chinese herbs, milk thistle and lipotrophics. i have been taking evening primrose oil along with flax (when i have it) to help with my cholestorol. the one conclusion my nd and md did come to is that my high hdl is related to the pco as they know what my diet is and has been for a while. i don't know for sure but can maybe safely assume that my lack of steady hormonal function is directly related to how my body handles stress and thus bms. i dont know tho i am anxiously reading all i can to find out and go from there. even tho i have been delving into this world of natural healing as i don't want to be dependent on 'pill therapy' like so many other women with pco over the last 7 years, i know there is still lots to learn. as for my weight, well i am what the charts would is 'over weight'. the puzzling item is that with all that has been going on with me since late oct/early nov, at this point i am 55lbs lighter for better or worse. so on that end, maybe i am on way to some drastic healing that my body has gotten rid of some bad stuff with more to go by way of an in-depth cleanse; who knows. i am not in this for the sake of being thin, not at all. i just want to be cured of whatever my 'mystery illness' is as well as the pcos in total. one thing that came to mind as i was reading your experience with gallstones: during my last colonic, the therapist saw oil. does anyone have a clue if that is linked to gallstones? since then i have also been gathering info on completing liver, gallbladder and kidney flushes/cleanses as well cause i don't know what that could be. whew! i realise that i needed to talk about this. thank you all for being here! it's easy to scare oneself when you feel isolated with symptoms and no clues or support. thank you too dale for the welcome!
