Guest guest
Howdy All, Well, after 5 years of PAIN and hell, the last doctor finally found what I have. I don't have flatback, I don't have scolosis, my 41 year old Harrington rods are bent causing me pain and balance issues and such stiff legs that I could stand outside of Buckingham Palace as a guard for the queen, ok, till my legs buckle and down I go. I got the call on Tuesday, that my pre-op is on Monday at the Beth Israel Hospital Deaconess in Boston, and the surgery is on Thursday. I've learned that in the past 2.5 months over 20 top Orthopedic surgeons have viewed my MRIs. All coming to the conclusion that the rods must be replaced. They're going to aim for the back surgery if at all possible, but if need be, they will go through the front as well. The surgeon I am going with is Dr. Groff, and his compassion is a welcome change. I've had my share of WACKO'S. Thanks for all the posts and support and I wish each of you wonderful health now and in the future. P.S. I sure hope that Cam is enjoying here new home.
