Guest guest Posted January 1, 2001 Report Share Posted January 1, 2001 It's rough not to have a clear-cut diagnosis. I would ask your doctor about taking Imuran or Purinethol along with the Pred. Maybe he is waiting to see that the Pred works and helps confirm the diagnosis. Most AIH ers take 2 meds. Also, Purinethol is used for inflamation of the intestines even for people without liver disease.(My doctor once mentioned that) Hope you are on the right track and improving.
