Guest guest
Hi Leona, I don't have medical training and I don't know of any others in the group who are md's. Uneducated opinions are totally worthless and could be misleading. We can research the meaning of each term but it would take a doctor to interpret the results and put together a complete and accurate diagnosis. Your doctor should be able to give you an accurate picture of the meaning of these findings as they apply to you. Those of us who have or had cirrhosis know it's not a good thing. Left untreated, it may continue to progress. You may want to take a look at this article, it describes liver functions and the effects of cirrhosis. http://webmd.lycos.com/topic_summary_article/DMK_ARTICLE_40024 I hope you will make every effort to find a doctor you can trust, and he should have good communication skills too. Don't give up, get yourself some expert help in the medical field while you still have an alternative to a transplant. Your entitled to, and deserve the best medical treatment available, but it won't come to you. You have to aggresively seek it out, and don't stop until you find it. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your questions, but I hope this helps a little. 'Don't let the (you know what's) get you down.'
