Guest guest
I had cortisone injections yesterday. The injections went in pretty easy; a little pinch for numbing, and then the cortisone. The numbing stuff got to a nerve on my left side, though. My left leg collapsed when I put weight on it. So, I spent an extra three hours in recovery waiting for it to wear off. I could move as long as I hung on to something (and my wife was getting pretty bored) so we went home. Leg problems were all gone with a good night's sleep. I have no pain at the injection sites. We'll see how the injections do. I have another appointment in a little over two weeks.
Guest guest
Hope the injections work well for you in the longer term, ) Coincidentally, I just had a caudal epidural steroid injection done yesterday. It was remarkably easy, thankfully - the worst thing was the local they injected the area with first, that stung like heck as local always does. So far, I don't know if the steroid will really have any particular effect, but it's been very odd the effect that the local with it has had. Not quite sure how to explain it, there's been little change in what actually registers as pain, but my lower back is suddenly mobile and flexible, and I'm able to stand up pretty straight for the first time in months. The little points that if pressed would send me through the roof, I can happily jab with no ill effect. And no crawling/jumping of the bottom of my left quad since last night. Now just to see if it works, fingers crossed for us both! titch-- " The older I grow the more I distrust the familiar doctrine that age brings wisdom. " - H. L. Guest guest
, I am sorry you had a bad reaction at the injection site. I hope it doesnt make your shots any less a choice or effective in the long run. when yo say you are having another in 2 weeks are they just scheduling the shots in a series of 3? Good luck, I hope they bring you lots of relief as we hopefully mov into some decent weather! Let us know how you do. Take Care, Cam
