Myself I'm still resting but getting better each day after the op. Still no bending or lifting for one more week they say. Unfortunately my ear does not seem to be hearing any better.... I thought it was at first but now the external bandage is off I tried it on the phone and ...Nothing! Oh well at least the C-toma is nowhere to be seen which is all I need to know! I am lucky to have my right ear working fine. I was thinking of learning Auslan (I think that's how you spell it) a sort of sign language taught at the college here. Does anyone else do this? or thought of it? just in case! Audrey Calendar Hello everyone,It's been quiet the last few days. He said that right after the operation you can often hear much better before the packing gel - gells. Then it would be a while till my hearing improved again. He said the hearing could keep improving up to a year after the operation. I have some idea of what to expect, and as I don't think it is too messy in there, as my ear has been mostly clean and dry, it shouldn't take too long. I will post a note about it. I know you gave directions Nick but since I don't post on the site and just receive the emails at my email addy, I don't know where to go (be nice please LOL) See, when I found this group I got very lucky.... but I only receive emails, with my bad memory I forget things easily... anyhow, I signed up, started getting emails so I just thought that was it, I never explored this link where the calendar is b/c I didn't know there was more. I just assumed email was just it and was ok with that, I was reaching the outside world and met some very nice people. Then the calendar is listed in a column on the left hand of the page. LOL She's fine, don't worry, almost 10 and loves the water. She's like me, a fish, once in the water is very hard to get either of us out, just wish I could swim like I used to... now I just float like a dead person....
