Sorry you have to be here. I hope that you have had a cervical MRI. When you experience symptoms such as yours, sometimes surgery is in order. One of the more common ones for this type is called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion (ACDF). Due to the loss of strength, it is *IMPERATIVE* that you seek out a *NEUROSURGEON* immediately to assess your situation. In my case, I was having problems walking up steps and getting out of a chair. I ended up getting 3 levels done in my neck, but you may need only one, or may choose not to have fusion, but only have a minimally invasive spine surgery. Please get to a Neurosurgeon ASAP for an evaluation. For more information on the ACDF and MISS, check out: www.spineonline.com www.spineuniverse.com www.back.com www.drjho.com (Does the MISS surgeries, very good at it) Good luck to you. Get an evaluation soon, You may prevent any more nerve damage. Joe
Guest guest
> In the meantime, I thought I'd ask - does anyone have any experience with this? < a...I am going thru this also and new at the neck game. Except most of my symptoms involve left hand, but have seen some on right. Keep dropping things...ya know? And when I do my pt, it seems that I am not as strong anymore on the left side. What I hate are the increasingly frequent headaches that start at the top of my neck. Tomorrow I go to the pain management doc. It is the same one I saw for my lumbar area, so know he will want to do some shots. Good luck...maybe we can learn together! > From: " a " <pmt24@...> > Date: 2003/12/14 Sun PM 07:02:47 CST > spinaldisorderssupport > Subject: Muscle weakness > > I have been told that I have a bulging cervical disc. Guest guest
Hi! Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Last lab results had ft3 and ft4 low. I am on Levoxyl 125 mcg. and cytomel 50 mcg. I think the muscle weakenss got worse when I went from 40 mcg to 50 mcg of cytomel but I am not sure. After the last labs my doc increased the ft4 which has helped somewhat with sleeping and constipation. Is muscle weakness just a sign of hypothyroidism or could I be on too much cyomel even thought my ft3 is below normal? My body temp is still low....probably need an increase of something next time. Thanks, Dee

Guest guest
Yes, muscle weakness is a sign of hyperthroidism. So you may be taking in too much of levoxyl or cytomel. > > Hi! I am following the diet already, just calculated my intakes and got suplements. > I am doing Stool DNA test to see what is happening in my intestine. I think it might be useful. I am so toxic.. I feel this rush of toxin mostly one week before the fool moon. It has been like that for the last 15 years. My eczema gets worse during that time, then the healing happen and it gets better. My hair is also itchy. > I know it will take time. You r right about my life etc stress. I am changing it all as we speak (looking for a part time job etc). I do the test in here (USA www.metametrix.com.au (test is called GI Effects Complete Profile - Stool) +++Hi , That test won't help you determine what is happening in your intestines, but it may be interesting. Just improve your digestion as I recommend and you can be assured it will eventually normalize. Bee
Guest guest
> > Hi Bee and all, so I am having legs cramps that are really painful as I get back on this program. I am wondering about potassium as I have a hunch I am low, what foods on diet as you say below Bee are high in Potassium? +++Hi Mike, It will take awhile for your body to adjust getting back on this program. Do you have muscle weakness or actual cramps in your legs, like a charley horse in the lower legs and feet, which are caused by a lack of or imbalance of calcium and magnesium, not potassium. You should be taking 300 mg each of calcium and magnesium citrate 2 times a day with meals. No one else lacks potassium on this program, since you get plenty in the foods on this program, and the good fats help pull nutrients out of foods and help your body utilize them better, particularly all of the minerals. There's enough potassium in meats and eggs too, so that's why people on my All Meat & Fat Program don't need potassium supplements. Ensure you are also getting 1 1/2 teaspoons of good ocean sea salt per day for its over 84 minerals. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
I was getting the worse leg cramps at night in bed and mostly they were waking me up in the morning and I had to jump out of bed and walk of the pain, sometimes at 4am. I could not stand it and out of desperation, I took some Potassium sup and the first day it got better and in 3 days it was gone and no longer a problem. I do take the cal and mag and eat salt all day long. THanks, Mike! --- " Bee " <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: >@> wrote: > > > > Hi Bee and all, so I am having legs cramps that are really painful as I get back on this program.
