I went to see Dr. Castellvi and he doesn't agree with the radiologist

re; loose rod on CT scan.He seems to think my pain (between shoulder

blades and into shoulder and arm and also now causing numbness in my

arm)is caused by " severe central stenosis with mild mass effect on the

anterior thecal sac and bilateral foraminal narrowing at C4-C5 as well

a multilevel changes of DDD and spondylosis " This is from a CT report I

had in October 2007 which was ordered by his Nurse Practitioner who at

the time kind of tossed it aside saying " we couldn't do anything about

this right now anyway " It's one of those situations you run into when

seeing a Nurse Practitioner instead of the doc(which I refused to do as

of a few months ago).Anyhow he seemed a bit perturbed he didn't know

about it,asked 2 or 3 times who ordered it.So here's the plan,I'm

having a cervical ct myelogram on August 14th where they will have to

go in between C1-C2 which I hear is a pretty delicate procedure, anybody

had one?And the worst part is he's talking more surgery but assures me

it won't be nearly as bad as the others!!! On a positive note one year

fusions look great..........Donna
