When Dr K & Bae came in the next day to see their handiwork and removed the bandages, I was one big blister under them, all the way around the incision. When asked if I knew I was allergic to tape, I said yes, it is on all my charts...Dr K was furious and I know someone got it later. But the deed was done. The nurses then put the bandages back with paper tape...but on all the blisters. Even paper tape tears blisters! Try walking with the bandages hanging on by tape on blisters you already have..ouch...that is what caused my passing out in the shower. Mike had to take the bandages off so I could shower and they bled. I didnt put anything back on them after that. Just ointment with pain killer in it. Your pain is from the blisters pulling...ouch!!! Guest guest
> Your pain is from the blisters pulling...ouch!!! > Sharon in Onyx Well, I am such a freakin' dumb ass I didn't realize I even had blisters for days! Now there are open bleeding sores, but no blisters. I totally missed the occurance of the blisters until they were crusted under the steri strips. I kept calling them blisters but they are really open weeping sores. Wow! The good news is that my tummy skin isn't numb, huh? LOL! I wish. Marta who tolerated the actual tape just fine. Yep, thats what happened to me when they took the tape off, it tore the tops off the blisters and made them sores, that left the scarring on my legs and tummy that look like bruises.... yuch Sharon in Onyx

Guest guest
I have also heard of ulcers on the genitals. As a matter of fact, both times we were at the NIH we've been asked if Mason has ever had ulcers on his genitals. Thankfully, he never has as I would imagine that would hurt immensely. So maybe the blisters are in fact ulcers? I think I'd take her in to be checked by a Doctor to find out for sure what it is down there. That way you'd know for sure. Guest guest
My feet are all swollen (edema) and have blisters on them. Any idea? Could it be from those blood clot boots we wear in the hospital? I'm even starting to get some bumps up my shins. They also itch terribly so my other thought is an allergice reaction. Peggy
