Guest guest
Just now, reading today's postings, I feel compelled to say what a super bunch of people you all are; this whole Chat Room process is absolutely amazing! I feel I'm getting to know you all some, now, as I've been reading not only back postings but the member stories as well. A friend of mine in Florida had what I believe to be a straightforward fusion of L3 and L4 last year, yet he had both an orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon at the operating table. I'm getting ready for my 3rd surgery in 3 1/2 years as I am now in flatback, and the bowel incontinence has returned. The orthopedic surgeon I've seen did all the studies - MRI, standing x-rays, lumbar myelogram and C-T scan and recommends a fusion from T9 to S1, plus an osteotomy at L4. But when I ask about a neurosurgeon working with him I get that " stare " that they give you when they think it's a stupid question. Comments? Comments, please.
