Hi Tina, I'll let you know later today...I'll get test results back. This will

be the first time I've had free T3/free T4 done.

I haven't been diagnosed with 's; however, my neuro thinks I have a

conversion problem. I will ask my endo today why I was RXed cytomel along with

the Armour. I've been told some will RX Cytomel along with Armour if there is a

problem with conversion...if their cells/peripheral organs are not getting

enough T3. It might be they're just RXing the Cytomel because they think it will

make me feel better. I've been told Cytomel has a " calming effect " and can help

with anxiety/depression. Since I have refused to take

anxiolytic/anti-depressant, maybe that's why they're RXing the Cytomel along

with the ARmour.

I'll let you know more later.

Hugs, Sheila

's is basically a conversion problem---converting t4 into t3---

so here you have a low t3 number while your t4 number is normal (even

tsh can be normal)---most hashi's have high t4 numbers and their t3

is normal --also they have high tsh's numbers as well---except in the

case where you see adrenal mixed hashi's these folks tend to have a

low tsh number---might be involved with adrenals here as well---jmo

Thinking back----I don't recall anyone here with a high t4 and a low

t3 with Hashi's---at least very few doctors test for it---Shelia do

we know your t3-t3 free numbers??
