Guest guest
Here's what I found on soy lecithin: Soy has been shown to affect tyrosine hydroxylase activity in animals, causing the utilization rate of dopamine to be " profoundly disturbed. " When soy lecithin supplements were given throughout perinatal development, they reduced activity in the cerebral cortex and " altered synaptic characteristics in a manner consistent with disturbances in neural function. " [10] Here's the link for the above. this site has a lot more info regarding soy. http://www.mercola.com/2000/sept/17/soy_brain.htm here's another one...doesn't sound like soy lecithin is good for thyroid: http://www.thegreenguide.com/doc.mhtml?i=98 & s=soy you may want to do some more searching. i'm getting sleepy. take care, sheila soy is bad but is soy lecithin bad too? im having a hard time finding shakes without soy and someone said lecithin wasnt as alergic? Guest guest
Kat, I am taking Thyrolar(t3/t4 combo)for thyroid and I have been doing atkins and Dr.Phils diet to lose weight.Lifestyle change in eating habits are the only way to go.No pill or drink,in my opinion, is going to give long term results. Guest guest
Thank you Beverly:) I was wondering about that since soy has a bad effect on thyroid hormone effectiveness, and suppresses the thyroid.
