Most candida overgrowth happens in the gut and spreads systemically from there. Even vaginal yeast starts in the gut. > > Very interesting. I am beginning to realize I probably had candida overgrowth before my twins were born and the thrush developed. I just had no symptoms. +++That is very possible Trish. It's good you are realizing it. ==>I had vibrating sensations in my body for years before I found out I had candida. I think it is the panic the body is feeling because " something " (candida) has gotten out of hand and the body isn't able to deal with it. > > This is so great to know I am not the only one. I assume you do not vibrate anymore now that you are candida free! +++No, I don't vibrate any more, thank goodness! > ==>It is not advisable to treat your thyroid directly with medications or iodine. As you overcome the candida thyroid hormones will be better able to get into the cells, and the thyroid itself will normalize. Read Bee's Personal Candida Story in the files (after the folders) to see what I went through - I lost my thyroid due to too much tampering with medications and too much iodine, etc. They caused my thryoid to behave very irratically. Iodine is only required in trace amounts by the body and too many people overdose on it by taking kelp, seaweed, green foods, etc. There's plenty of iodine in natural foods like butter and also in ocean sea salt. > > This is the part that I am so confused by as I have just started seeing this naturopathic doctor who is treating my thyroid with stuff that contains kelp and bovine thyroid gland. I am also on low dose of synthroid. I read your story, Bee. Thanks so much for directing me. But now I am a bit frightened as I have been having more heart palpitations lately and dizziness starting yesterday. What you are saying does make sense to me, though. I will probably stop taking this stuff now and focus strictly on the candida. +++Trish, the bovine thyroid gland would have been adequate for supporting your thyroid, if your tests showed you had low thyroid function, but taking synthroid on top of it is too much. They both serve the same purpose, however synthroid is synthetic and not recommended; taking just bovine thyroid gland would be okay. That might be reason you are getting palpitations and dizziness because you are getting too much thyroid hormone. Try going off the kelp and synthroid altogether and stay with the bovine thyroid for a few days. If you still get palpitations go off it too. > I am thrilled to have this support in my journey to health! My kids and husband want me back to normal. ==>Your kids and husband will get to back to normal Trish! It's onward and upward!
