ie,

Here is a link to Pet friendly hotels in NYC. I'd call the hotels anyway just to

verify that it's

true.

http://www.nyctourism.com/pet-friendly-hotels-new-york.htm

I can guarantee you that it will be expensive, so be prepared. The only other

thing I could

suggest is to look at Craigslist NY and see if anyone is looking to sublet their

apartnent for

the time you are going to be there. That might be a less expensive bet. I'm sure

there are

also online services aside from Craigslist that you could find sublets also.

The hospital may also be able to provide some suggestions--

Good luck,

Edie

Hi ie, I'm glad to hear of your upcoming appt w/ Dr Boachie. I know if you choose him you will be in experienced hands along w/ a great hospital and specialized staff. That is where I had my surg 10 weeks ago. I believe Dr Boachie overstates your hospital stay assuming worse case senario. He told me my stay at HSS would be 2-3 weeks and I was dreading it. I had no complications after my A/P 1day surgery and was released after 9 days there. Afterwards he wanted me to Rehab as an in-patient so they admitted me to NY Hosp for Bone and Joint diseases. I was there for 6 days. Dr Boachie had me standing and walking 4 days post op, and thankfully my pain was minimal due to excellent pain mgt. I was actually so surprised at my low pain level, I was actually dreading the killer pain to kick in, but it never did. I remember the excruciating pain associated with my previous 2000 surg for a relatively routine

decompression and fusion for spinal stenosis; I was crying in agony. Thank God... not this time. The staff at HSS are so well-trained in spine care and were so attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this choice and wish you well in your surgery. Dr. Boachie is God's gift to his patients and his hands are blessed. posts.ie PS. Oh, I did hear about one interesting thing, that in the past couple of years they use fiber-optic in finding the pathway for intubation for the general anesthesia. I thought that was very cool. Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Play Monopoly Here and Now (it's updated for today's economy) at Games.
