Guest guest
Has anyone tried Heallix? (see http://www.heallix.com/) With what effects on bowel health? Thanks for your feedback.
Guest guest
Thanks Liz! I have found a webpage where experts say it's different. Heallix is ionized silver with fulvic acid, but I'm not aware of the technical details. I have been taking Heallix since late April for a Candida problem. I had associated IBS which seems to be getting better. Ionized silver has also wiped the white coating off my tongue (my tongue used to be swollen and sore all the time, but not any more). Best, Paco > > Has anyone tried Heallix? (see http://www.heallix.com/) > > With what effects on bowel health? > > > > Thanks for your feedback. Guest guest
Hello all, I have found this discussion of silver/argyria very interesting. I read about Heallix in the On The Diet column and Heidi recommended it to me to treat acne. I took used it internally and topically and my skin cleared up nearly immediately! I did some research into its safety when I got it and really could not come to any conclusions from all the conflicting info I found! In light of this confusion, I stopped taking it internally (except sporadically to prevent a cold), but continued using it topically until recently. I still don't know what to believe - I've read all the posts here and the links provide, the research abstracts, etc but there are a lot of conflicting opinions! I don't know that it is possible for any of us to find any definitive answers to this issue - it seems that little is known about argyria and the supplements containing silver. However, I think we each need to take resposibility for our own health - this means making educated decisions about one's choices. Don't rely on anyone else (even well-meaning doctors, friends, naturopaths, parents, etc) to tell you what is/isn't right for you - research and form your own opinion. I have decided to stop using it entirely (and throw out my very expensive remaining supply!). I have not experienced adverse effects and I would like to believe that something recommended on Dr. D'Adamo's website could not be harmful, but I am not willing to take this risk. What's done is done and I will not use silver again, but I am curious if there is anything I can do to try to prevent argyria in the future? There is a link for a supposed cure for argyria on the www.silvermedicine.com site that I have read before (which seems to involve dangerously high levels of certain vitamins and minerals), but it is not working right now. I'm not interested in trying this unless I get argyria, but I would be interested in reading it to understand that person's experience. I have also read about selenium helping to transport silver from the body. I do get some selenium each day with my PhytoCal O.
Guest guest
You could use glutathione and NAC to get rid of " " heavy metals " " out of the body.
