Guest guest
Sometimes I feel really bloated (like from the Schulze herbs recently) and I will wait hours and hours, even a day or so, for things to get better, drinking water, resting, etc. Then I'll have some sugar (which otherwise I would stay away from) and it will get better almost right away. Why is this? Is it possible to make yourself too alkaline and then need something that will quickly make your body a little more acidic? Just a guess. I'd be interested in hearing any of your guesses/info. Thanks, Marie
Guest guest
Hi Everybody I am a member of this group for about 2 months now. I am enjoying reading all this information. It is very interesting for me because I have been doing most of these cleansing for years. Health & healing topic have been part of my favurate subject. I did not want to get engaged to writing here because my English is not very good. However, I see there are two important aspects of healing are missing in your disscution; 1- Balance 2-Relaxation If you study for example Ayour Vada (East Indian ancient Medici an) you will find very easy and understanding explanation for all these problems and also proper solution for them. (e.g. why and how sugar works in the situation like this). It says you should first find your body type then by proper eating reach to a balanced position which means "health". Another aspect is mental relaxation such as meditation which helps not only mind but also body releases toxins and as a result a good soloution for lots of digestive problems. I am not sure if I could explain my point (with lack of knoledge in English language). I will be happy to answer any question if I can. Guest guest
What kind of sweets are you talking about? I notice that if I eat baked goods..ie cookies, muffins and so forth...that I have the same problem. At first I thought it was a sugar thing but then I noticed it happens with some types of pasta's as well. Now I'm thinking its a refined carbo thing : ) Barbara > > Sounds odd to me too and a little familiar. > > I have posted many times that my bowels wont > > move unless I prompt them. Guest guest
Dear Pouran, I agree with you totally about the relaxation. That has been part of my healing path for 7 months now. I've also recommended it to other people on this list. The mind/body connection is very strong. I'd be very interested in hearing more about the balance part. Can you elaborate? Anyway. . .Great post and Think these are all important issues. Someone else posted some exercises called the " Tibeters " . And I tried them and was amazed at how wonderful I felt after them. I exercise almost everyday and do garden work and feel like I am in pretty good shape, but the tibeters worked muscles I hadn't been working because I could really feel them. I would like to encourage others to try them. They seem so simple, but they really do wonderful stuff. For me, I find that physical activity relaxes me. Gardening relaxes me wonderfully. And I feel rewarded with increased beauty in my world for my efforts. A double bonus. Blessings, Donna RE: Seems odd... Hi Everybody I am a member of this group for about 2 months now. However, if I eat something sweet, there it goes, a BM miracle! Just once, and then I am stuck again. I have 3 theories. The first one is that it is the presence of Candida that wants to gobble the new sweets, by letting go of my stool and allows a full bowel movement. Second, it could be a food sensitivity to sugar. Like some persons get a bout of diarrhea when eating foods that disagree with them. Three, a need for the right kind of digestive enzymes. I am more to agree with the presence of candida since it involves a certain amount of gas discomfort. However, I had skipped a few meals without my enzymes and by the end of two hours I was bloated and in pain. Any other guesses? LIZ D Seems odd... Guest guest
I am not sure about it's relation to blood type. I den't' think it is religious. It comes from East India. It is very popular in North America and also I heard in Australia. There are many people who are expert in this field. Some medical doctor's in Canada I know which have spent some time to get the certificate for this and also has put all the knowledge in computer. We may call it computerized ayorveda!! Anyway during last 10 years I have had very defective and positive experience with it. If I can find some time I tell you more about my experiences. Guest guest
Any thing with sugar in it. However I was reading in an enzyme therapy book that some people can be Carbohydrate intolerant. It can cause constipation and also it is found with persons suffering from Candida. Sounds much like me! I just ordered some enzymes that will digest yeasts. Now I will try to find enzymes that will digest these carbs and see if that puts me in full function. Then I read that if you have a wheat allergy it can show itself with symptoms of constipation. Now I am trying to find a way to get wheat free pasta's to eliminate this theory. What a world. Guest guest
Thank you for your reply. I thought I would be in the VATA group because if I had more wind things would move. I read some members eating foods for their blood type, I wonder if there may be some resemblance if compared in studies. I came across the term Ayorveda, I thought it was a religious lifestyle. Is it? What is it's origin? Ok, so I am mentally limited. Take your time, I am interested, and in the meantime I will do a search on what Ayorveda is so you don't have to tackle that question for me. Thank you very much, LIZ D RE: Seems odd... Most traditional Medician rely on nature. They believe whatever is in nature is in human body too. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, Finally I found some time to sit here and write . I really am delighted to here about the role relaxation plays in your healing. I have been doing meditation for more than 20 years now. I used to do yoga. Recently I have started to do Healing Chi quan and Ti Chi. Couple months before I see Tabatian Rites in this list, I started to do it because of a friend's recommendation . (I borrowed the book from library). I have attached some info re Ayur Veda to couple other e-mails in this group. I hope you also enjoy it. Because doesn't let me to attach more than three files, I attached the rest to other e-mails. I could post here lots of information but unfortunatally I found most of them right protected and I am not able to re issue them. Anyway I think Dr. Chopra is one of the best sources to refer to in this regard. He has a web site I believe (Dr.Chopra.com) that he is ready to answer questions. Also one of my scans is the cover of a book which has valuable info. I hope you can find good sorces. after you learn a bit about body types, I tell you about my experiences.
