Guest guest
Dear Tami, Congrats on having your date. I roomed with Eileen at the retreat, she had her surgery with LaGrone, and just loved him and the hospital, and loved the hotel right across the street. She had tons of positive things to say, sounded like if you have to be away from home to have surgery that they have an excellent setup there. Here's to your date and an excellent outcome! [ ] Surgery Date is Set, Peggy, Melinda Hello Everyone,I finally made my decision and will be having my surgery with Dr. Lagrone on July 16th. One day posterior.Peggy, Congratulations on getting the rest you need.Melinda, looks like we'll be surgery sisters in Amarillo!!Thanks, Tami

Guest guest
Thank you , I really feel alot better having made the final decision. It is so good to know so many people have such good things to say about Lagrone and BSA. I stayed at the hotel right across the street when I went for my consult and enjoyed it myself. Now comes the preparing! > > Dear Tami, > > Congrats on having your date. Guest guest
Tami, July is looking busy! I have you on the calendar now so it is REAL. Actually, in some ways I felt better once I had a date to work toward...it made it easier to overlook the pain knowing that, for better or worse it was going to be different after Feb 2005. There is a file on what to bring to the hospital compiled from the collective wisdom of the group a few years back. I guess what we need now is to create is a checklist of " to do's " prior to the surgery/departure date. I will start that under a new topic and we can see what the already revised membership has to say about that! Take Care, Cam
Guest guest
Thanks Cam, sorry you have to change the calendar for me to the 24th now. I really just wanted Melinda to go first I do feel better now that my decision has been made and the date set (hopefully). It is scary now that it feels so " real " but it's kind of exciting too. It will be nice to stand up straight and taller again and I especially look forward to alot less or no pain (finger's crossed). I cannot wait to throw away my Lyrica and pain meds (prayer's inserted here). I love the " what to bring to the hospital list " and the " what to do list " is a great idea and will help me alot. Thanks again Cam. Tami -- In , " cammaltby " <cammaltby@...> wrote: > > Tami, > > July is looking busy!
