Overdenture and overlay denture

Fri Jul 13, 2012 5:02 am (PDT) . Posted by:

" Lyudmyla Huhley " huhley2006

Hi All

Yesterday at work I saw the case when Pt came with acrylic partial denture on his front teeth, when I did the charting all 4 front teethroot stamps were present they were pretty much decayed as well, and the denture overlayed them.

Is it overaly denture? What is it?I ve never seen it before....I thought that if it is overdenture teeth need to be RCT...or if it is partial denture or full root stamps need to be removed.Maybe in DTP we can consider the overlay denture as well esp when Pt is short of time..?

What do you think guys?

Sincerely

Lyudmyla

Now , mjdf is further qualification that u doing it as u r already did a lot of study in either ore or lds. However,u can't practice dentistry with mjdf alon. Moreover,  it dose regard as qualification and u can write it in yr cv.
