Guest guest
Hi Lilli, I have pondered your question for a couple days and have researched a bit as well. I honestly believe that a synthetic replacement (the meds we all take) is the only way to keep the thyroid functioning properly. It is not a simple case of taking an extra vitamin or mineral to get the wheels churning. I have read 'Garden of Eden' by Jethro Kloss which is an herbal 'bible', and I also have read 'Dr. Atkins Vita-Nutrient Solutions'. Dr. Atkins does suggest that Selenium in conjuction WITH a thyroid replacement will help to acheive a healther state. However; there is no suggestion in either of these respected books that would suggest a total replacement for thyroid hormones. If you have heard of an alternative I would love to check it out. Either way, you would be swallowing a pill daily, be it prescribed or from a health food store.

Just my two cents.
Guest guest
I have not posted in a long long time - but I didn't know of where else to go so....Hello everyone I recently talked to someone with an extreme hyper case - she lost her insurance and had to treat herself, she researched online and went herbal. When she got insurance back and returned to her doc she was cured - Her doctor is baffled but she is not on any medication anymore. We got to talking and I just wondered if I could treat my extreme hypo in a similar way. I was wondering if anyone had " cured " their hypo with herbal treatment, and was successful? I would love to hear your herbal story Thank you

You will find stuff ALL over the internet offering 'cures' but with no research, and if you go on their sites they offer the same 'cure' for any number of diseases. I can understand the reluctance to have surgery and barring other factors - botox is not usually the best option for us - but we have found that the VAST majority of us have done best with surgery - performed by an EXPERIENCED surgeon. We may be able to help you better if we know more about you. How old are you, how long have you had A, where do you live, do you have any other health issues, etc? We'll do our best to help you achieve the best possible quality of life. Glad you found us, between us all, we have many hundreds of years of experience dealing with A. ~ in NC > > Hi All, > I was wondering if any of you have tried the herbal treatment Achnical. Guest guest
It has posted here several times that there is some internet seller(s) that have made links to every possible medical issue, and the meications are just made up to make them sound like cures. One that comes to mind is acholab. If you look up th eold postings, you will likely realize they look like a scam. Snake oil. Expensive. etc. Waste of money in my opinion. Be very suspicious of those things. I'll try to find the links when I have more time. Sandy > > > > Hi All, > > I was wondering if any of you have tried the herbal treatment Achnical.
