I just wanted to add a note to this caution about beet juice. It IS a great cleanser, but please be sure to combine it with something else. If you drink too much beet juice straight it has the ability to temporarily (repeating the word temporarily) paralyze the vocal cords. That happened to someone I know. So just be sure to mix it with something else. Thanks for sharing this, KJ. I'm always interested to check out new 'recipes' for cleansing. Guest guest
Hello all, I saw this recipe on another e-mail list and thought I should pass it on: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I drank 2 cups of dandelion tea every day > for 2 > >weeks, and had about a cup of beet juice a day > (mixed > >with apple and/or carrot juice for flavor--I > juiced > >my own, of course). Guest guest
I always throw in a beet with my fresh apple/beet/carrot juice (beet in the minority). Or just apple/beet (2 or 3 apples to each beet). Now that's a great liver mover! And fresh spinach/carrot juice is good for the parastaltic action (to keep us on the subject) a note to this caution about beet juice. It IS a great cleanser, but please be sure to combine it with something else. If you drink too much beet juice straight it has the ability to temporarily (repeating the word temporarily) paralyze the vocal cords " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. " -Kubler Ross " Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Guest guest
I'd like to add to these beet juice comments that it can also turn your urine pink or reddish and look like you are bleeding when taken a lot > >If you use beet juice, don't > > >overdo it; a cup a day is all you should have. > > It's a > > >very powerful liver cleanse and should be used very > > >cautiously.
