Guest guest
Though I understand being anti-war, I am proud that my husband was in the military. Though, I must admit, the Canadian military is widely known for being peace-keepers than aggressors. If a certain area causes you stress, then for your own health, you should try to avoid it. And sometimes holding one's tongue is also not good for one's health, unless it's to intentially harm someone. Maybe this message was supposed to go through so that we may know one another even better, outside of our common interest of Flatback. Llweyn no, it wasn't a typo. I had second thoughts about the post and deleted it, but apparently it went to email anyway.it has been my experience that too often, people who are very vocal in their love of "God, country and military" are ethnocentric to the point of bigotry. I tend not to get along well in such an environment (even though I can fully understand being proud to be Texan).I am definitely not a "my country, right or wrong" kind of a person and I am very much anti-war. It broke my heart when my son joined the Air Force.I had hoped that since I had hit the delete button right away, I wouldn't have to go there. Chalk it up to the drugs that I spoke my mind. One of these days, I may learn how to hold my tongue (or sit on my hands).>> Is this a typo? > > <thank you for convincing me not to go to Amarillo!!>>_._,_.___ .. Guest guest
my husband was in the Army for 10 years. That is one reason he was relieved when I had a miscarriage -- apparently a lot of guys he was overseas with in Desert Storm had problems with having healthy children. My first husband was a Vietnam Vet. My dad was a WWII vet. I think it is possible to be anti-war without being anti-military, it is just that the nationalism that has become more evident since 9/11 has been too much similar to the nationalism of Nazi Germany for my taste. > > > > Is this a typo? > > > > <thank you for convincing me not to go to Amarillo!!>>_._,_.___ > > . > > <http://geo./serv? s=97359714/grpId=15709830/grpspId=1600094709/msgI > d=11597/stime=1158291490/nc1=3848648/nc2=3848443/nc3=3848527> >
