Guest guest
Cristel Reread the note I responded to. I was questioning the use of tipped enema hoses. There are solid rubber enema hoses that have rounded ends that are normally used for longer insertions. Reading the books written by Jensen and others will show you that they made insertions up to the coecum, verified by x-ray. I do not not advocate such but when others feel that longer and deeper insertions will give better results for them, they should be aware of possible problems and how to avoid them. Remember, we are all responsible for our own health and the use of this equipment. Let's give them the benefit of experience gained by others. Guest guest
<< I have never done it but I wonder if anyone is trying a high enema with plastic tip? >> Dear Ed: that is something you do not want to do. Dr Jenson stresses in his book to only insert the tip 3 inches. The bowel bends at the sigmoid flexure, about 4 inches, in the average person. I quote his words: ===== Inserting any tip more than 3 inches could bring excessive pressure against the bowel wall at this bend, resulting in irritation, pain and possible problems. There should never be any force exerted on bowel wall with any colema tip ===== So please be careful Christel

You might have to turn the tubing to loosen it during either insertion or removal. Any comments out there for those with experience to share? Ed Thanks Ed for clearing up a question I had. I was wondering how you would insert a plastic tip 10 inches in the rectum since I had read that you should only insert up to 3 inches as there is a turn in the rectum after that. Now where do you get this tube with a bulb ending? I am learning so much here, this is a great list! Namaste, HerbalMomma
Guest guest
Ed, thanks for that thought...don't know anything about an enema tip other than the " sharp " kind. would like to find the bulb type you metioned. that would have to be much safer.
