whoops, I forgot to add that we just came back from a health food

place and the woman that owned it said that she knew people that had

bad reactions to colonics, that it hurt them. I either do not

believe her, or they had cleansing reactions. Please tell her it is

not dangerous, there is a very reputable place that would do it for

her. thanks hope t.

Hope t,

The breath should be enough to motivate her, but since it isn't I would try

Google search, http://www.google.com and see what I could get in the way of

testimony there.

I personally had good results from colonics. It is a little scary, but so

is surgery, and all the tests the docs want to do to 'help' you.

She needs to understand all procedures are somewhat risky and the way to

avoid high risk is through knowledge and research, not avoidance, because

when you are sick, you are sick, and your body is telling you it needs help

beyond what it is able to do for itself.

It was recommended to me by a good friend who is very healthy. In fact, he

is beautiful!! I complained many times to him about my various bowel

problems and he was one of the few people I could talk about such things.

He took me to a very reputable place, and they gave me much information and

then took me step by step through the process. When I came out of the

colonic, I felt MUCH better. My digestion was better and so was my breath.

I had alot of energy and was very happy in general with the results. The

technician was also kind enough to tell me what she saw coming out. The

place was clean and smelled good. The staff was very professional and even

sold particular supplements to help with the cleansing process, and I did

not have cleansing reactions at all. Many of my friends go to this place

still and love it.

When someone is scared, I always recommend facing the fears. Maybe you

should arrange a 'consult' if she is willing and let them show her videos,

tell them ahead of time what the situation is (maybe there is a 'favorite'

person that is especially good with people) so they can be prepared too.

And I would remind her people from her time used to do enemas all the time.

This is just a more powerful enema, after all. Also, maybe her MD would be

willing to tell her it is OK? I don't know how he/she would feel about it,

but it may be worth a try.

I hope this helps.

God bless,

KJ

hope t,

One other thing, once while I was leaving from the colonic, a receptionist

did come up to my technician and tell her that someone was having the feces

back up on her!! I didn't worry about it, but I have been told my

ileo-cecal valve is often open when it should be closed and was given a

special massage to do daily so the bacteria and fecal matter would continue

to go in the right direction. I must admit, I don't do this exercise like I

should, and that may be the cause of my digestive problems, but I don't

know. When I tried it, it didn't seem to change anything, that's why I

stopped, but maybe I didn't give it enough time. I don't know. I don't

think I had the ileo-cecal problem when I was doing the colonics, as I was

diagnosed years later. But I do think many of the people with this problem

may be going in for colonics and not knowing the valve is open and that is

where problems come in and a safe procedure gets a bad reputation. I was

diagnosed first by a homeopathic, then an MD who is into natural meds told

me the same thing. So I knew it was so. Now that I think about it, I will

start doing that again.

Sorry, I digress!

Anyway, I am thinking that your mom should be diagnosed by an MD as to what

her condition is or at least checked for the valve being open too often, so

if this is a problem, she doesn't wind up sending the stuff she is trying to

get rid of back into her small intestine, which, as we know would only add

insult to injury.

God bless,

KJ

I have a couple of questions for you, if that's okay.

First, why is it so important to you that your mother

get colonics?

Second, is your mother making changes to her eating

habits or is she planning to continue as she has been?

The reason I ask is that if she is not planning to

make any changes, then the benefits from doing the

colonics would probably be lost over time.

Third, would she consider doing a bowel cleanse? The

idea of colonics is so very unpleasant to so many

people, so I can understand her reluctance.

As for my own colonic story - I have had one. I did

it in the middle of an extended juice fast a few years

ago. The place was clean, the staff was fine. I

didn't get to actually watch what was happening, which

was a disappointment to me. That might sound odd, but

I wanted to see what was coming out of me. The

overall experience was fine. I wouldn't rave about

it, but I wouldn't criticize it either. So I guess

I'm kind of neutral on the subject.

I will say this, though. It's important for a person

to be able to relax during a colonic. It's one of the

most vulnerable positions to be in. I wouldn't want

anyone to try to push me into getting one, so I'd say

that if your mom is resistant, then maybe it's a good

idea to just let go of the idea and let her make up

her own mind.

That's probably way more than you wanted, but as they

say, take what you like and leave the rest. :)

I usually just lurk, but felt compelled to reply here. I was so scared my

first colonic I almost cancelled. I was so glad I didn't. I felt so great

after my first one that I got several more and did the cleansing supplement

program and was so impressed with it and I now do them very regularly...like

every 2-4 weeks. It depends on the stress in my life and my diet. They may

not be the most comfortable procedure, but I found the results to be more

than worth any discomfort. A good rule of thumb is that the more discomfort

one has during a colonic the worse shape the colon is in. And also that one

way to tell if the colon is cleaned out is if a person has a colonic with no

discomfort at all. The comfort level during a colonic also has a lot to do

with what a person eats and drinks the few days preceding it. Drinking at

least 1/2 your weight in ounces of purified water is absolutely imperative.

Also to get your diet to at least 50%-80% raw foods and no white flour or

rice, fatty foods, etc. It is the difference between night and day. And

to heal a colon a good diet afterwards is of course a must.

<Hello, I need stories of those who didn't want to do colonics

because of one reason or another and decided to do it and was glad

they did. My mother has gained some weight (not due to thyroid

condition), because she eats whatever she feels like and has food

cravings. She has very bad breath, history or hemorrhoids, and is 70

years old. She was going to do colonics, but changed her mind and is

adamant (almost) about not doing them. All I need is a few

testimonials of those who benefited, whether you were hesitant at

first or not.

I'm one who was a bit apprehensive about getting my first colonic,

but I had at least done enemas previous to my first, and was already

somewhat aware of the benefit of cleansing the colon by

hydrotherapies. After getting my first colonic there was no doubt in

my mind as to how much more thorough it was, and easier in many ways.

In fact, in time, I discovered a means of using my appointments as

means for doing a liver and gallbladder flush.

However, colonics are really more of a means to an end. And the real

purpose is to help not only the colon but also the whole synergetic

system of digestion. This then includes the liver and the

gallbladder.

For someone to just do a colonic, and not make some changes in eating

habits, is really pretty much a waste of time and money. They really

won't tend to feel like there was anything accomplished because they

will be feeling pretty uncomfortable until they are clogged again.

For a person to appreciate where they are going in doing colon

cleanses they really must first have a reasoned desire for that

action. It can be compared to a drug addict knowing he/she will have

to endure sever pain to break free from the addiction. The pain is

mental and physical and is no different for those seeking to detox

there bodies from all the addictive foods eaten in the past. It

doesn't do an addict much good to go through a cleansing process and

continue taking drugs.

The principle means of cleansing and detox really needs to be the

foods that are eaten, as the food is the means for the natural

peristaltic action of the intestines to do its job and the means for

moving out the toxins that are dumped into the intestines from the

liver and gallbladder. Granted, the hydraulic action of a colon

cleanse is an exercise for the colon and will certainly help those

who's bowels have not been moving foods along properly to get to a

point were it will move along properly again. Herbs also help in that

process and those who are taking such as a set supplemented diet will

notice the use of fiber in those products.

Colon cleansing is a purposeful action. It can be compared to how you

might use a detergent to clean an oil spot from a driveway. Failure

to fix the reason for the oil leak will result in the reappearance of

the oil spot. So, hopefully your mother can come to grips with

whatever may be causing her to get into a habit of which is

detrimental to her continued good health and find a compelling reason

to seek cleaning up her body. Colon cleansing does certainly help to

quicken the cleansing process for those who really want it. But the

true body cleansing action is in the foods eaten after the colon

cleansing.

/x/x/x/xx/my colon therapy clinic utilizes a " view tube " through which I see

absolutely everything that is leaving my system. It is incredible.
