Guest guest
Hi! My daughter (3 1/2 yrs.) has AIH. She was diagnosed in December 2000. Her levels started at 3,800!! As of yesterday, they are 54/63. She is still on too high of a dose of prednisone and has been on Imuran since February 2001. We don't know if the Imuran is working. One doctors says yes the other say no. When we tried to take her to a really low dose of prednisone her levels started to climb. The doctor thinks he was taking her down too fast. Now he is going super slow. I know how you are feeling. It breaks my heart to see my baby going through this! There really isn't a lot of research on the effects of AIH on children. But from what I had heard, it can take up to 2 years to get AIH under control. I was told it is an extremely long process. Well, I hope I have helped. If you need to chat my email is 2886@...
