I was given a recipe for a 2 litre ( just less than 4 pints) camomile and garlic

cleansing enema by a Naturopath. This can help to clear parasites and candida

problems if they are in the colon (large intestine).

To make herbal tea put 5 bags of Roman Camomile in 2 litres of pure just boiled

water (just taken off heat source). Infuse for 10 mins and remove tea bags.

Allow to cool to body temperature. Add 5 tablespoons of a mixture of 8 garlic

cloves wizzed up in a blender with 1/8th pint apple cider vinegar. ( This amount

does not cover the blades so you can double the recipe). Strain the mix first as

the garlic does not always get blended properly.

Give the enema as usual lying on right side, relaxing and breathing deeply.

Massage the lower abdomen gently with fingers to help dislodge faecal matter.

If you have trouble taking in the full amount then lower the enema bucket and

allow to flow in very slowly. Hold for 15 - 20 mins before expelling and repeat

daily. He advised me to do this for 3 months. I found that I was a lot better

after 3 weeks.

Hi Read the in formation provided for the Garlic enema. I have a questioin.

It said to use 1/8 of a pint of Apple Cider Vinegar. I have been told in the

past not to use vinegar when trying to eliminate candida. Has anyone heard

otherwise. Will the Apple Cider Vinegar feed the candida? Any information on

this would be appreciatied!!

Hi Michele

There are apparently several types of Camomile - Roman, German and Moroccan. I

am not sure what the exact distinction is between them except for Aromatherapy

essential oils they recommend German Chamomile because it contains more Azulene

but they don't say why this is good but I think it may have more

anti-inflammatory properties. I just used ordinary but organic camomile tea

bags that didn't say what they were. I don't think it will matter a great deal

for the purpose of the enema.

I have also used the garlic/apple cider mix with a weak coffee enema as at one

time I thought that I was reacting to the camomile.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Remember keeping candida under control

is dependant on the good function of the adrenal glands and the immune system.

It is important to ensure they these systems are well supported.

Hi Sandy - thanks for your post - one questoin, i'm unfamiliar with Roman

Chamomile. What exactly is the distinction between Roman and regular run of the

mill?

many thanks.

Hi. No vinegar will not feed the candida. It is normally excluded on the

anti-candida diet as it is a fermented product and people with candida can react

to fermented products. Sugar is the thing that feeds the candida. I think the

Apple Cider Vinegar is in there to help with the pH balance in the gut but

couldn't say for sure.
