Guest guest
Good , The best way to handle any product is reading the directions and then listening to your body and that is what you are doing. I also started ICF#2 after only 1 day on ICF#1 because Schulze says IBS sufferers usually need to go to #2 right away anyway, but sometimes need ICF#1 for occasional constipation. I am no gastroenterologist, but it sounds like you are having diarrhea, which not only means liquid stools, but can also mean too frequent stools. I have seen corn come out of me that quick. Then again you may be cleansing, which sounds just like what happened to me when I was on Arise and Shine. I am very glad to say that with no med. and being on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, I am having very complete evacuations. I have irritable bowel syndrome and have been feeling incomplete for so long, like there was more to go, still alot of pressure even though I couldn't get anything out, now I am starting to feel like I am really done when I am done-if you know what I mean. Guest guest
, I haven't written about my day three. It was awful. The day after I took 2 ICF#1 I had diarhea accompanied by hot flashes and panic attacks. I was out in a public place, and it was very unpleasant, and scary. I did not take any more ICF#1 that evening. That was on Saturday. Sunday I did not have a BM. Sunday night I went back to one ICF#1 and this morning I had a BM which showed about 12 hour transit time, as I had corn with dinner last night. I don't really feel that I'm having a complete BM, and I'm assuming that is because of mucoid plaque buildup. I'm really unsure about starting ICF#2, simply because I had such a severe reaction to ICF#1. Right now, I feel I should stay on #1 for a short time to stabalize and let it work, and let me get used to it. Then I'll re-evaluate. I'm interested to hear what happened with ICF#2 with you...Please keep me up to date, . I'm glad you have had such positive results! > Good , > > The best way to handle any product is reading the directions and then > listening to your body and that is what you are doing. Guest guest
Oh, , I'm so sorry to hear that you've had such an adverse reaction! I think you're very wise to take things slowly and let your body find it's own pace for this. Have you altered your dietary habits as well? I've made some changes but have a long way to go. I know that certain foods are not only unhealthy, but self-defeating in the effort to cleanse the bowel. Some changes just take time! I hope you keep posting about your experiences and I hope that things improve for you! My understanding is that ICF1 contains a lot of things that are healing to the bowels as well as working to loosen build-up and ICF2 is sort of what binds it all so that it can be eliminated. So I will use both for the duration of the two week cleanse. Did you find ICF2 to be helpful for the IBS? I have a good friend who has been dealing with IBS for a while now and might recommend this to her.
Guest guest
, I have heard that it is good to have floating bowels! I don't know it is true, but I read it in several popular health books. My IBS only improved when I got out of the plant. I didn't have IBS until I entered the plant. Everytime I tried to do Dr. Schulze or Arise and Shine while in the plant, it only got worse!! Now, I have been out for 7 months and I sort-of hit a plateau, so I began the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and am seeing tremendous improvement. I did do Dr. Schulze after I left the plant, and that's when my frequent urination stopped!! That was wonderful for me, but then I hit my plateau and decided to try other things. I would reccomend to your friend that she go on this diet and see how she feels. The website is: http://www.scdiet.com She will know in a month or less if it is going to work for her. She can also get the sample diet to follow for free off the site and it should cost her nothing except time for preperation and abstaining from carbs. She must read the inf on the site though as this is not like the Atkins or Zone diet. If she chooses this, she should leave the yogurt alone until she knows if the diet is for her, because you have to by a Yogurt maker and that is where the money comes in. All the rest should be self-explanitory. I know I sound like a commercial, but it really is better to get well with the diet as much as possible and then add supplements, IMHO (in my humble opinion). I have only timed mine once or twice, and it is SHORT-- I think around 8 hours. I'm sure it varies too. Anyway, I know it must be possible, because mine is very short. I'm curious - does anyone know why it is a good sign when they are floating? I've heard two theories. One is that this means they are filled with cholesterol (because that is lighter than water) and the other is that they are filled with toxins. Any other thoughts?? Guest guest
Hi , Some more inf on poops!! Dr. Schulze says he traveled around the world looking for a normal poop. He said it " should be soft and unformed like peanut butter or soft serve frozen ice cream.... {and} light in color.... " When he studied the " primative peoples " he found they had a bm 20 to 30 minutes after every major meal. And they squatted and were done, no pushing grunting, groaning, ect. I hope this helps. Hey, all in the name of improved health, right? > I do know just what you mean! It really is amazing what one will do to make sure of better health. The noteable thing is that by having taken notice often leads to better health, and a recongnition of what it is that is makeing the differece in movenments. It may be quite a hurtle for some who have in the pass just dumped and moved on wishing they never had to do the motions, but time and experience in life teaches in some very moving ways when the quality of life is being interupted.
