Hi Jonah... saw a few posts by you... just checking out this egroup too :)

on water.... this is a BIGGIE for me... about 4-5 years ago I started to

drink almost a gallon of pure water a day treated with minerals/ionic

calcium/magnesium and colloidal silver. MAJOR changes took place!! one of

which was i no longer had any hay fever type allergies... and at the time we

lived in an avocado orchard - 2 x a year I was " HIT " with major pollen - but

the water changed all that... also ... thought this might be interesting to

someone:

" ... Water suppresses the appetite naturally and helps the body metabolize

stored fat. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause

fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually

reduce fat deposits.

Here's why: the kidneys can't function properly without enough water. When

they don't work to capacity, some of their load is dumped onto the live.

One of the liver's primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into

useable energy for the body. But, if the liver has to do some of the

kidney's work, it can't operate at full throttle. As a result, it

metabolizes less fat, more fat remains stored in the body and weight loss

stops.

Drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid retention. When the

body gets less water, it perceives this as a threat to survival and begins

to hold on to every drop. Water is stored in extracellular spaces (outside

the cells). This shows up as swollen feet, legs and hands. Diuretics offer

a temporary solution at best. They force out stored water along with some

essential nutrients. Again, the body perceives a threat and will replace

the lost water at the first opportunity. Thus, the condition quickly

returns.

The best way to overcome the problem of water retention is to give your body

what it needs - plenty of water. Only then will stored water be released.

If you have a constant problem with water retention, excess salt may be to

blame. Your body will tolerate sodium only in a certain concentration. The

more salt you eat, the more water your system needs to dilute it. But

getting rid of unneeded salt is easy - just drink more water. As it's

forced through the kidneys, it takes away excess sodium.

hi Laurie - boy, you're here too! i guess everyone goes back and forth - i realized after i posted this last one I didn't sign my name :)

I take " coral calcium " ... that is the name of the stuff. you can usually only buy it through a distributor - although its more expensive ... we 'signed' up about 5 years ago just to get it cheaper and buy with our neighbors, so we get a discount for a bigger amount as well... i think there's a site at www.coralcalcium.net to check out.... how it works....

after 4 1/2 years on this,,, i can really attest to its amazing work it does in the body!

!. That my water is free of chemicals like chlorine that could effect my immune

system

2. That it's free from harmful bacteria. My water supply in this city runs short

every summer,

and they run very close to the bottom of the resevoir here. (read: bacteria!)

3. Free from metal toxins from polloution and city/house plumbing.

Is that all you put in the filtered water? I'm interested because I

use reverse osmosis and ozone water and would like to check out putting

some minerals in the water. Glad you made it over hear, I like this group.

Hi ,

I too breastfeed and I have noticed that I too tend to get very agitated but I hadn't connected it with dehydration. Do you cleanse while you are nursing? If so what have you done and how has it worked?

I worry about my water containing lead, fluoride, heavy metals and bacteria. Where I live, MI, they add new chemicals to the water it seems like every couple of years. Plus with the Big Three here I worry about the fumes and other residue form the Plants.
