Hi Cam,I was doing pretty well until this happened. The popping sound

I heard happened just before I went to lunch with the girls. We were

all laughing and catching up on things that it took it off my mind

until I stood up to leave that's when I said to myself what the heck

happened here.I should have never sat in the booth. Hopefully I'm in

this pain from that and not the rod popping.I am so worried Cam,I

don't think I can go through another surgery at all physically and

mentally I'm not ready for that.I'm just hoping it was nothing but

air and if it keeps hurting I will go in to get an x-ray and see.Cam

who was it that had the pop and it broke her rod she was taking

things out of the dryer I remember? She had to go back in to have it

fixed..There is a couch in the teachers lounge right next door to my

office in work so if I need to lay down for 10 minutes I could. Thanks

for being there for all my questions this is a great site to be a

part of.Thanks again, Vonnie

Vonnie,

I know how worrisome this must be. Hopefully whatever you heard will

resolve without too much trouble. If they have ordered you an xray and

it will set your mind at ease...maybe you should do it? I know there

is nothing worse than tension to make sore muscles worse.

I think the person you were trying to remember who broke her rod was

in CA. when she was unloading her dryer just a few weeks after

she returned home.

Do spend a little time on the couch in the lounge periodically! Just a

few minutes to rest will really help you stay at work longer....but

you have to let those tierd muscles have a break or they can start to

spasm!

Let us know how your return to work goes. Will be thinking about you

Tuesday.

Take Care,Cam

Vonnie,

I too have heard a popping sound. I was going to post about it.

I hear it when I either am bending forward just a little bit (which I

have permission for) or my hips are uneven. Like I go to lay down

and I am lazy and do not swing both legs at the same time to keep

my hips even. I doesn't hurt but reminds me of a friend who used

pop her knuckles, that is what it sounds like. I have not been concerned

about it. I topped it off to healing pain.

Thanks ,It's good to hear other people hear popping too..I feel

alot better today but I think if it's not completely gone soon I will

go have an x-ray this week just to make sure nothing broke.Just to put

my mind at ease, cause I never new before when my harrington rod

broke. It was such a loud pop it seemed. Thanks Vonnie -

Vonnie,

I complained about it the last time I saw the surgeon. Since

everything looked solid, they didn't know what it was. I don't see

him again until October. Let me know what they say. Good luck

Hi Val, Pa, and Cam, Well I went to NEBH today to have the x-ray

to see if anything happened to it when I heard the pop..Dr.Rand is in

OR today for Sharon so I won't hear till he comes out or not till

tom..But I looked at them on the computer screen with the lady and I

didn't see anything broken but I'm not a Dr. either so...I feel

better that I saw it even though I don't know what I'm looking at.So

I'm waiting now..I'm just praying it was nothing..I also see him in

Oct. for my check-up..I'll let you know when I hear form him..Thanks

for everything,Vonnie

HI Vonnie,

Glad you are feeling better about the pop. It wasn't Sharon in

surgery today, she was postponed.
