Guest guest
Hi: The saltwater flush is described in Stanley Burroughs book The Master Cleanser and is a part of his Lemonade Diet. The Lemonade Diet is one where nothing buy lemonade made with maple syrup instead of sugar is consumed. I have seen many instructions on the Internet for the saltwater flush but few of them mention the diet and few give proper instructions. Burroughs instructions for the flush are that it be done the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and that it be preceded the evening before with a laxative herbal tea. The water itself is to be lukewarm (body temperature) and is one full quart of water with 2 teaspoons of non-iodized sea salt. This is to be consumed " quickly " so there are no one or two minute requirements, but I have found that the quicker the better. I have used the flush at times when not on the lemonade diet and found it to be effective with the water passing completely through in an hour to an hour and a half. Burroughs is against enemas and colonics and proposes the herbal tea at night and saltwater flush in the morning as a better clean out than either of them. From my own experiences with the flush and from what I understand others to have experienced, it would seem that your difficulties are unique and I don't have any real idea what's going on with you. However, I would suggest that if you do it again that you precede it with the herbal laxative tea the evening before, then do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and don't eat or drink anything for at least two hours afterward. Jay Original post: Hi I just tried the salt water flush a couple of days ago and I was just wondering how it worked for others. I didn't even finish drinking all the water before I had to go. It lasted most of the day. Is this normal and if not is there some way that I can lessen the effects so that I can function normally? In other words not have to run to the bathroom every 10 minutes. Thanks in advance.

Guest guest
Hi, The salt water flush is part of the master cleanser fast (stanley Burroughs lemonade fast). It is 2 teaspoons of seasalt in a quart of luke warm water taken in a short time(5-10 minutes) where it flushes everything out of the system usually with in an hour or two. It is I would not do this until you have fasted for a day and are sure that there is no blockages as if it is held up in the body it tends to cause swelling and is very uncomfortable.
