Guest guest
Ever since shut down for that one day I have not been getting my load of mail. Instead of 200 email a day I receive 10 to 20 trickeling in from various groups I belong to. Tried to read what I missed in the archives and get a message that I do not belong to any groups at all. But I get mail from somewhere. is messed up.If I reregister and sign up all over I am afraid I'll end up getting everything double one day. Am I the only one with this problem? can anyone shine some light on this for me? Teri, the castor oil question you posted---can you tell me how long ago you posted it? Because I just received it yesterday even though says I do not belong to this group. I am totally frustrated with this service. Can someone please write to me at >>christelti@...<< and shine some light on this for me. Thanks a bunch Christel
Guest guest
Christel I'm sending this message to you directly as well as to the group address, as a test to see if it comes through for you. Since we are both on AOL you will get the direct message immediately and you can use the time stamp on that to gauge how long it is taking for a list message to get to you. I think it's possible that the volume of mail really did just slow down for a while. I think it's common when groups shuts down and people aren't receiving messages (as happened recently) that some people lose interest, some people get backed up and don't have time to respond, etc... and the volume just decreases for a time. I'm not suggesting that's the whole issue, but it might be an element of it. My first thought was that maybe it's and AOL thing, but you and I are both on AOL and I'm getting messages through. Since your post came through to the list you are apparently still subscribed. Did you try more than once to get into groups to check the mail out there? Sometimes it just acts quirky and if you try again later it works. If you go through the subscribing and unsubscribing as you suggested, I don't think it's possible to get double messages. I could be wrong there, but I'm fairly sure about that. In other words, you can't be shown as subscribed twice under the same address, so there would be no reason to get messages twice. If you're really frustrated with this (and it sounds like you are), maybe that is your best bet. OR - write a letter to the moderators directly and ask them for help (bowel cleanse-owner ). That's about all I can offer. I know it can be frustrating when things aren't working smoothly. I hope it gets ironed out quickly for you. in health, rachel~ In a message dated 03/25/2002 11:56:30 AM Eastern Standard Time, Christelti@... writes: << Ever since shut down for that one day I have not been getting my load of mail. It's just very possible that groups still has some kinks to work out after moving the server the other weekend. I doubt that there's much that we can do bout it other than be patient. just my .02.... rachel~

Guest guest
Hi Christel, I am having the exact same problem with mail. I have checked my subscription/delivery details and checked with my ISP and there are no errors and no explanation. My mail flow has decreased by 50-60% since the shut down last week. Remember when was down and I wrote and told you the list was up and running because I had gone to the message board and read it? Well, I never got the back messages like they say you will.
