Guest guest
Hi Chuck, I have thought about this. I e-mailed two attorneys and never got a response. Then I called someone at an agency that helps people with stuff like this. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the agency or much of what he said. I do know that after talking with him for over a half hour, I felt like I would rather not go through something like this. I also felt like if these attornies I wrote to felt like I had a case I would have heard back from them. I recall hearing about the case you were referring to. I'm not sure the company I work for even has any idea that their ventilation system may or may not have an affect on folks in regard to them developing seafood allergies. I could pursue this, and Kemal and I talked about it last night. I just don't think I want to deal with that kind of stress. thank you for your suggestion. if i had any kind response from those attornies, I might be inclined to pursue it. take care, sheila > > > ... apparently, the argument is that although the type of work I do can sometimes cause > >employees to develop seafood allergies and asthma, it is NOT caused by > the job itself. > >they are saying it is my particular body which has caused me to > develop seafood allergies, > >which in turn led me to develop asthma. ... > > There was a well publicized ruling recently in Missouri in favor of an > employee exposed to fumes from the butter-flavored oil they put on > popcorn. Everyone in the family watches it but me. I just like to eat what they fix. Could you mean Alton Brown? BTW, my wife was featured in the local newspaper yesterday as a " Cajun Chef. " It gave me and the dog two days of jambalaya leftovers. Chuck ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone. Chicken, sausage, and rice are the biggest ingredients with lots of pepper. All the good recipes start with a roux. Chuck
