Ok I have been waking up in the kitchen. I am not on ambien or

anything. I think I have been sleep walking. DH says I get up alot at

night. My daughter did this after she got home from the hospital and I

thought it might have been the pain meds but now I think it may be

stress.

Yesterday I got a really bad migrain and actually threw up. I have

noticed that I don't have an appitite and I cannot afford to lose any

weight.

OMG it has just occurred to me today just how stressed I am.

Any suggestions? Besides the DR I am going to make appointments

tomorrow.

Somebody who can give you an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety pill. Seriously.

Jolynn,

I did a quick " google " on sleepwalking and stress and got a lot of

hits....a quick first page review looks to me as if there can be a

link between stress and sleepwalking and hormonal changes and

sleepwalking. You might just be hitting the lottery there.

One article mentions Valium or Ativan for short term problems. Given

how stressed you are feeling maybe you can talk this option over with

DrRand?

I did not have my period last month because my daughter was going

through the surgery so I must have stressed my self out of it. I had

it this month and it was just odd. It is gone now and I feel more

stable. I think with everything compiling I am just a little off. I

was waking up very sweaty too. I am 31 so I don't think it is

menopause.

I will be making appointments today as soon as 9 rolls around.

This and "carry on" really made me smile.

Obviously 'noc' means night ???

I have a 12 year old with aspeagers, who has had trouble sleeping thru the night. When we first adopted at age 2, we would wake up and he would be at end of the bed looking at us. Would go right back to bed and straight to sleep. Any noise outside wakes him up, rain, wind, cars with music to loud. We just go in and say everything is fine and retuck him in, he is usually back asleep within 5 minutes. If it is thundering out, he will scream until we come, then he justs sits up in bed and asks us not to leave. We have told him to come and sleep our floor, with his stuff but he is to afraid to leave his bed. So we just calm him down, and wait until he falls back asleep. We have 2 other children, that the roof could come off and they would sleep right thru it. Our four year old gets up at least once a night, we just put him back in his bed, and he goes right to sleep most nights. He has done this since the day he was

born. About 3a.m. is the time he gets up. As a baby he would stay up for hours. I know what it is like to live with no sleep. My husband and I take turn on sleeping in Saturday and Sunday. Just remeber there will be nights, that they do sleep thru. class. My 24 yo NT slept through at 2 months old and would be furious if you woke her for anything. Then there's the 13 yo AS who has also NEVER slept through-sleep walks, sleep talks, has night terrors, etc. The best night was I woke up around 1 am one noc and went into the kitchen for a drink and he was sitting at the top of the stairs with a flashlight-I asked what he was doing and he said watching the house (I thought watching the house do what?) told him to carry on-he got a huge smile and laughed and I saw the light go off in about another 15 min. When he was younger we used gates on his room to keep him in a safe area, then we reversed the lock on his door once he could climb the gate. Then I spent a few nocs watching and whether he was sleep walking or awake he would go get snacks, watch TV, get on the puter, or just sit and watch things with his collection of flashlights-since we have double sided key

locks I didn't worry about him leaving the house and I started sleeping. I hope this offers some help for some of you going through the autistic weird sleep patterns.Dana-well rested mom of 3>> I have a 10 year old who has YET to sleep through the night! Oh my, that's too funny!

Re: sleep walking

A funny story. I was 12 staying at a hotel in Spain when I woke up to find myself in a hallway. We arrived late, so I was too sleepy to recall what room we were in. The doors locked automatically. I was forced to knock on doors and disturb people until I found our room. At breakfast I overheard people talking about the strange visitor last night. At least I had my pj's on.bruce
