Guest guest
Congrats on an excellent report on your 2 yr. checkup, Cam! I guess I can't quite understand the dishwasher thing. I understand how you use your foot to push the bottom drawer in and close the door, but how do you LOAD (or unload) the bottom drawer? This is something that I will file away for future use. Right now the top drawer is all I can manage without the grabber. Sometimes I can take out just dishes from the bottom with the grabber. I also can remove the silverware holder with the grabber right now and put the silverware away. But loading the dishes, they're usually too wet and the grabber can't keep hold of them. And forget pots and pans....too heavy. Carol V.
Guest guest
Carol, All I use my foot for is to roll the bottom tray in and out on the dishwasher and to lift the door to close it. When I first came home for a long while all I did too was load the top tray. Then I progressed to doing a little plie and dropping the big dishes into their slot on the bottom tray. Then when I got stong enough to get up from a kneel...I would put all the dishes that needed to go in the lower tray right on the counter over the dishwasher and kneel down and load them from there. I could unload this way too. No bending required...voila! Of course I absolutely HATE unloading the dishwasher...it is my least favorite chore. I was glad to get out of it for awhile. Guest guest
Hi Carol,Cam, First of all, I only load, or unload the bottom shelf of the dishwasher if no one else is available. I do it by using the golfer's bend, and keep one hand on the counter. I get the silverware holder out the same way.
