Guest guest
Ok, not really- but they're calling me Doctor Lori at work now. One of the girls at work was complaining about having some pain in her urq yesterday. She thought maybe it was her gallbladder (but has never had problems with it before), so another one of the girls told her to come as me. I asked her if she had just eaten fatty food.. nope. How long has she had the pain? Since yesterday- but it hurts more when she breathes deeply. I told her to point it out and it was exactly where my urq pain is (and described it like I would). I told her that it sure sounded like liver pain- and asked if she'd taken any drugs lately or had been around any weird pesticides or anything. Nope- but she did fall on her lawnmower yesterday (don't ask me how). I told her that I thought she might have landed on her liver or maybe cracked a rib, in either case- she should see her doc. Well- her doc confirmed that she had bruised her liver and did lft's. She congratulated me on my diagnosis (snicker- I should be an expert by now!). I told her to get the lft results and bring them to me when her doc called so I could explain them to her. They were normal (her doc 'confirmed' this!)- but she was fascinated about how much I knew. I have to say... it was kind of fun! PS- she'll be ok! LoriRosenberg@...
