You eat liver-healthy foods. It has tons of good foods in it. There's no counting of fats, calories. Yes, you lose weight, but the reason that you start on it is to help your liver, which is your fat-burning organ. Once your liver is in better health, it can regain it's job of fat burning. As we age and through years of eating unhealthy, the liver becomes a fat-storing organ rather than it's intended purpose. Also, she explains about healthy fats which play a vital role in liver health, just overall body health. Edith >> *************** Hi, Edith, the instructions for the diet are in " The Liver Cleansing Diet. " As for the body type pills, I haven't been able to afford it yet. Maybe I can soon. I hope so. Everything she has said thus far is correct, as far as I can see. I'm sure they're good also. Susie

Terri >> ***************************** Hi, Terri, Because my stomach burned before I ever took extra garlic. As long as I stay on Dr. Cabot's diet, it doesn't burn much anymore at all. Sometimes, never. Susie

Guest guest
Hey Susie! Thanks for sharing about your thumbnail. Deja vu! I slammed my right thumb in the car door at age 18--30 years ago!! and it has never been the same either!! I love garlic, but I don't consume nearly as much as you do. Thanks to your information, I'm going to up mine, too. How are you eating most of your garlic? Are you cooking it? How do you smell?? Ha! Thanks for sharing, Marsha <>{
Guest guest
<< How are you eating most of your garlic? Are you cooking it? How do you smell?? Ha! Thanks for sharing, Marsha <>{ >> ************************** Hi, Marsha, As for my garlic, many times I juice it in my carrot/celery/beet juice in the morning. Yes, I smell. My daughter came to kiss me goodbye when she was going to school, she made the statement how bad I stink...heehee! Well, I can't help it. I know it helps many things. The problem with my finger, I'm beginning to wonder if it had gotten a bad fungus in it through the years because of the car door accident. It's gone now, that's all I know. It has to be the garlic because garlic kills fungi in our bodies, kills many parasites, kills the yeast infection stuff, and is a strong natural antibiotic. It does more than this for our bodies. Another interesting thing that I had happen to me, one of my kitties bit my ankle not too long ago. I had accidently stepped on his tail and he bit my ankle very hard. Well, I doctored it, but it started getting red streaks in it one night going up my leg. so just to make sure, I went to the doctor the next day and got a shot cuz I don't want blood poisoning, you know. Well, I had been eating garlic all that time, a pretty hefty amount of it over a period of weeks before the bite, and the morning of my doc appt. the red streak was completely gone. I went and got the shot anyway. He gave me an antibiotic prescription, but I didn't fill it. Didn't feel like I needed it. I know that the garlic helped me not get a terrible infection from my kitty bite. I'm just convinced that it does help us a lot, plus I haven't had a cold or flu all year long. Guest guest
Hey Susie! I had warts growing just below my nailbed for a couple of years ages ago, but they finally went away. Now my nail is just a bit misshapen, but it would be nice if it would match the other one. People notice it sometimes. Marsha <>{
Guest guest
<< am using a topical application of tea tree oil twice per day to clean the area, and I am going to follow your example with the garlic. I've already started adding it to my juices. I vow to be free of this thing once and for all! Thanks for the great advice Jonah >> ******************** Hi, Jonah, Hope the garlic works for you too. Just give it time. My theory is, if it doesn't, your body can still use it for many other things. Oh, I not only use it in my juice, I also use it in my salad dressing. I try to have several cloves per day depending on the size. Dr. Cabot says 4 to 6 cloves per day to kill parasites. Of course, that depends on the size of the clove, too. Someone on this board told me they have many cloves per day. It may have been christel. she (I think) crushes it and mixes it with a little olive oil and drinks it, but doesn't allow her taste buds to get a hold of it. Maybe she will come back and tell us again. I may start doing that myself as long as I don't push my gall bladder before I'm ready. Jonah, please let me know how the tea tree oil helps. I've heard that's good stuff. thanks, Susie

So many messages on this list in the past months are of this type. While they may create a friendly atmosphere, they are simply impractical on a list with such a large volume of mail. I've been on this list going on two years, with my degree of participation varying greatly. The current volume is difficult for some of us to handle--in at least one recent post someone said they were leaving the list specifically due to the heavy volume of mail. I sympathized. An active list is a healthy list, but when it reaches a certain level, it needs to be trimmed when possible. It's like a garden needing pruning. An effort to send posts with no information in them privately would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks, Robin G.
