Susie I love your garlic story?

How much distance do you keep from other people?? :-))

That smell is soooooo strong and comes out of your skin. I made the mistake

to go to the gym and sit in the sauna after consuming a lot of garlic. I was

the only one in the room. Wonder why?;

Christel,

LOL! Yes, I know what you mean. I can't smell the stuff on me, but my

daughter does. I guess my husband has lots running though his veins now

because he never says I smell. It's strange about it, but when I first

starting putting about 2 to 3 cloves in my fresh carrot juice (or more,

actually) it almost choked me up on how hot it was. I didn't think that I

could drink it down. Now it's a piece of cake.

Actually, I have cut down on it now after initally doing it. However, I have

at least 3 cloves per day, sometimes 2. but I still have it, not matter

what.

When I go to the health food store that I usually go to, they have me a

little magazine that has wonderful articles in it. It has an article about

garlic. Oh, they said we should always try to find the garlic that has the

little purple streaks in it, which I just got some. It's much better garlic.

The regular white garlic is fine, but this with the little purple streaks is

much better.

Thank you, . I know the nail thingie was a little minor thing.

However, just that little thing that's been sick for so long is healed. I

think that even though minor, it proves it's value to the healing effects of

our bodies. No telling what it does for us that doesn't show physically, you

know. So I think, forget the darn smell, eat that garlic. Oh, they say in

my article, when you squeeze it or crush it in oil, it activates a very

important component. Can't remember what they said. anyway, crushing it and

putting it into oil, like olive oil or something. It releases something very

important for our bodies when it's crushed or pressed into oil. I'll look it

up later and tell you. I'm busy working on a job.

take care,

Susie

Susie, I agree, it is better but not always easy to find. I just mash my

garlic in olive oil and get it down by avoiding the tastebuds. I take between

6 and 10 cloves

A small aside: in the ancient Egyptian religion garlic and onions were seen as

gods. This is something I recall reading, hopefully not too apocryphal ;)

PS. I still have many responses to email, but with over 80 new messages today...

hey, I have to eat too! Thanks for everyone's mail! I will get them all done

When I was very sick back in '95 and '96 and could hardly eat, I got

in the habit of putting a couple cloves of garlic in everything I juiced.

When I started getting better, I stopped because I did work in

a large factory and my husband would comment a little about it

but not much because he saw I was getting better. But I was so

used to the taste that none of my juices tasted near as good as with it.

Strange huh.

Hi, Edith,

It's a very healthy way of eating. You eat liver-healthy foods. It has tons

of good foods in it. There's no counting of fats, calories. Yes, you lose

weight, but the reason that you start on it is to help your liver, which is

your fat-burning organ. Once your liver is in better health, it can regain

it's job of fat burning. As we age and through years of eating unhealthy,

the liver becomes a fat-storing organ rather than it's intended purpose.

Also, she explains about healthy fats which play a vital role in liver

health, just overall body health. So if you get a chance, check her website

No, I did not. But I always made sure that I ate some potatoe or something

absorbent right after it. I crush them , mix with oil and eat. But bypass the

brain. In other words get it past your tastebuds and down.

That together with Schulz's cayenne makes an unhealthy environment for

parasites :-))

Well, I drank a huge clove in my juice this morning and it kind of burned a

bit. I immediately drank some water and it went away. In my new article

that I have about garlic, it says that they can heal some stomach uclers. I

have found that it's just a matter of getting used to the garlic. I got away

from drinking it in my juice, and I was drinking loads of it because I had

gotten used to it. At first if it bothers your stomach, do what Christel

said and put something on your stomach. Drink lots of water, also, sipping

on it throughout the day. Everybody should be doing that.

It has to be raw, right? I've always found that raw garlic (in salads or whatever) gave me indigestion. So I figure raw garlic straight is going to be no picnic. But I know I need it for the parasites. I also know that the fact that it gives me indigestion doesn't mean I should give up on the garlic--it probably means I'm missing an enzyme or something. Anybody know?

What is Pure Gar? Is it a supplement? And if so, could it be as good as the real thing?

p.s. Tho I am not the moderator of this list I would like to pretend I am for the moment and encourage everyone on the list to consider the subject line when posting or replying since I have noticed that they rarely match and that makes reading the archives to find something, really difficult.

And deleteing any irrelevant info also makes reading the archives much easier also.

Thanks

If you keep a clove of garlic in with your bag of rice, other grain or foods, it

really helps to keep insects out.

That's what I learned from my ex's mom.
