Guest guest
Two questions--1. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to kill ants in the house, without fumegating yourself with insecticide? My husband is insisting on spraying the stuff, and I don't apprediate breathing it! 2.I put peroxide in my ear last time I had the flu, because it was hurting and felt it may be infected. I assumed that is was the virus that was spreading around work, and everyone was taking antibiotics for it. I am totally antibiotic phobic, cause it makes me really sick to my stomach when I take them. ANyway, I put peroxide in the ear, and stayed on my bed for 20 minutes with it bubbling like mad in my ear. WHen I got up, MOST of it drained out, but a lot didn't, and I had to tolerate a totally stopped up ear for another 15 hours. I could also hear the liquid sloshing around in my ear for that time, and it slowly went away after the 15 hours. What did I do wrong, or is that a usual thing that happens when pouring peroxide in the ear? I regularly put a little on a Q-tip, but never much in quantity. That sensation about drove me nuts!! Thanks-Marilyn

That > sensation about drove me nuts!! Thanks-Marilyn Question number 1.) Diatomaceous earth for the ants.Call your local garden supply store to obtain. End of story. Question number 2.) You don't need to spend so much time. Ten minutes will do. When you finish with one ear put a cloth over the ear you just finished and roll over on the other side, letting all the H2O2 solution drain while you are listening to the musical bubbles in you other ear. When done with ear #2 take the rag out from under your head and place it over your second ear and turn over and let the water drain for several minutes. Now you are done and there is no fifteen hour dance with bubbles. Another question: How did you feel besides the water in ear. What happened to the " flu " ? We are all waiting for the important details. Did you have 2 flues the next day, less flu, more flu, no flu ? Del Snow

If it was 'bubbling like mad', that is a clear indication that you needed it. Did you keep putting more in (after letting the other drain out) until the bubbling stopped? This is what I do, and then rinse as above afterwards. -- Marcus
Guest guest
Use a chalk stick available at Chinese grocery stores. Draw 3 lines and when they cross it they're dead. Guest guest
Hi all, Is hair loss a symptom of thyroid problems? I am losing hair all over my head (not a single growing bald spot, but just tons more hair in the brush every morning, and I can see my scalp in front more than I have ever been able to. When I went on synthroid the hair loss stopped, but now it has started again and is quite severe. I feel afraid to try the thyrodine protocol alone, but havent' found a good naturopath in my area. What should I do?

Hi, it can be but for me it was symptom of estrogen dominance. I used Natural Progesterone Cream and gotu Kola. These two really helped to get things back in balance. __________________________________________________

Pacific Standard Time, SLL-CLL-edu writes: Yes, I read about the Rituxan/arthritis comment - first time I have heard this - nothing is impossible - could be a coincidence? Hi, I just wanted to respond to the subject of Rituxan and arthritis. Last May I had a splenectomy and was in the hospital for five days. Shortly after coming home I developed pretty severe arthritis in every joint in my body. Of course, I went to a Rheumatologist and we tried all sorts of samples of different medicines, including Vioxx, but nothing worked. Then, in December I started a round of maintenance Rituxan and within a couple of days of the first treatment the arthritis was pretty much gone. The pain is coming back a little bit now but only in one arm/elbow. I'm having one Rituxan infusion, broken into two treatments, tomorrow and Thursday. I hope it works again. I'm not having the treatment for the arthritis though. It's to make up for the difference in the amount of Rituxan I get at each treatment. I can only tolerate 300 mg at a time. It looks like you don't include your treatment signatures on this group so I will only include it once. Sofie dx 4/97 SLL 11/98 Rituxan x4 1/01 Rituxan x1 - hospital 4 days w/severe hives 10/02 - 4/04 weekly Rituxan mini doses. 2/14/03 FNA Parotid lump - appears to be MALT 5-24-04 Splenectomy 11/04 Totally normal blood work, CT looks great. Onc says time for Maintenance Rituxan 12/04 First Maintenance Rituxan - 300 mg @ 80 - no reactions this time except for one big blister on stomach. Finished all four infusions. Developed steroid-induced diabetes. Glucose marker is still elevated as of March 2005 Next Rituxan treatment will be March 22 and 24.
